Speaking of talking milestones...

[SIZE=12pt]This weekend was the first time the kids started to refer to us as "mom" or "dad!" What happened to the mommy and daddy we used to be called? I feel like they are growing up way to fast! Anyone else?[/SIZE]

 

Mine do that sometimes and it sounds so weird. Sometimes they also call us by our first names. It cracks them up. Thankfully we are still mommy and daddy for the majority of the time. I'm not ready for them to grow up that quickly.

 

I have been meaning to post this...

Hannah now refers to me as Mom. Everything is "Thanks, Mom," or "Okay, Mom." And because she does it, Ben does it too. It sounds so funny (and I think she likes to hear herself say it too)!!! Made me sad the first week or so, but now I don't even notice it!

Yes Kate, this is what Katelyn was doing all weekend. She probably does like hearing herself say that too! It does seem weird, but like you said I am sure I won't even notice come next week!

 

At almost 21 months, mine still don't call me anything!!! I would kill to hear 'mom' come out of their mouths.

 

We recently went from Mama and Dada to Mommy and Daddy. I love it! I will be sad if they switch to Mom & Dad.
