So, I went into the boys room last night to put their pacifiers back in and they were both rolling around and grunting from their gas. Well, to my surprise, they were putting on a light show. I had them in the fleece sleepers from children's place and every time they moved around it caused sparks from the static electricity! I am freaking out! Has this happened to anyone? What can I do? I thought maybe I needed to dry them with Bounce, but I just read the box and it said not to dry children's pjs with it because it reduced the flame resistance. Should I just ditch the fleece and stick to the cotton sleepers and put onesies on under for warmth?

I have to admit I  at the thought. But I'm sure it wasn't funny to see. Have you thought about using a humidifier in their room?

I would probably use the dryer sheets. for the scare.

Wow you must have some super fast movers! I can't even imagine that! I would suggest a humidifier too!

The humidifier is a great idea. Why didn't I think of that? I'll try it tonight. Thanks!

Ok, first of all, I'm sorry, but I laughed when I read this. However, I'm sure you were horrified. I second the use of a humidifier. Good luck!

I noticed it with my dog moving around last night. Rather weird. I'm sure it's going on with the babies as well. Pretty scary!

Oh wow! No experience, but I definitely think the humidifier would help!

I HAD to laugh at this because it happens to us all the time!! We live in Minnesota so pretty much all we have are the fleece sleepers. I really doubt that its doing them any harm, but the humidefiers are a good idea. Thanks for posting this, glad it happens to someone else, too!

My husband the physicist swears it is not possible for fleece to catch on fire from static electricity. I still don't understand the reason, but he laughed at me when I worried about it. It is very dry here and we set off sparks practically every time we move. Our kids use fleece sleep sacks and no one has burst into flames yet.

I'm so glad to hear that it isn't possible to catch on fire from the static. We did try the humidifier last night and it seemed to work!
