I seem to recall a post a few months ago about travel/space saving high chairs that hook onto the table. Someone posted a link for one that is highly rated for sturdiness and ease of use and it was only like $20.00. I cannot find the post/link on here nor the chair on the internet. I thought it was sold at Walmart but it doesn't come up in searches on their site. Does anyone know what chair I'm referring to? Did I dream this awesome, inexpensive chair?

    Thanks,
    Christy

I have 2 of the Fisher Price Healthy Care booster seats. We started using one of them almost 4 years with my oldest and I LOVE it! I have never had a regular high chair and bought a 2nd one when we had the twins. They don't have crevices for food to get stuck. The trays are small enough to put in the dishwasher for an occasional hot cleaning, otherwise I hand wash them in the sink. They are so easy to travel with if necessary. Plus you can use it just as a booster seat as your child gets older. My DD is 3 1/2 and can still fit in them. The absolute best part is I can still push my chairs under the table like normal when the booster seat isn't being used so they are out of sight and out of the way. Here is a link. Ours is blue, white and green, but I think they recently changed the colors.

My mom bought the Safety 1st Easy Care booster seats for her house, but I don't like them as well. The seat seems much smaller therefore a child will outgrow them quicker. The trays aren't as easy to take off and the tray is much smaller. The trays also have a place for drinks, but most of our sippy cups don't fit in the space and I feel like it's a waste anyway since most babies aren't going to put a cup back in the right spot.

At what age did you start using this booster seat? I am looking for alternatives to high chairs (we live in a townhouse where space is limited!).

(And sorry to hijack your post!!)

ETA: This is what I was thinking of getting??

That's the one we have for our girls and I love them. They are only 7 pounds right now, so obviously, we aren't using it to feed them. They recline and we leave the tray off. I use them if I need my hands free to make a bottle, etc. Also, sometimes, the girls just like to be with us and we put them in the chairs while we eat so they can look around and we can interact with them. They were about $50 from Walmart, I think.

I'd love to know too! We (I mean me with the boys) and would love an easy way to attach them to the table. I'm not comfy with the restaurant chairs and chances are they won't have 2 available. Can't wait to hear where the $20 one is!

My daughter uses these Fisher-Price space-saving high chairs at home:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WUB9QM
They're easy to clean and can be reclined for younger babies. The trays are dishwasher safe. The nice thing about these chairs is that they can be pushed up to the table to use as a booster chair, although they're not that roomy so may not be big enough for long term use with toddlers. Hers came from Target, I think they were in the $40 range?

DD keeps two of these hook-on travel high chairs in her car to use at restaurants:
    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_ba/102-4...co+travel+chair
I haven't been with them when they've used these but my DD really likes them. They fold flat and are lightweight. I think they would be a good alternative for home use if space is an issue. These sell on Amazon for $39.99.

I bought two of these for my house:
    http://www.amazon.com/Chicco-Travel-Seat%2...3483&sr=1-1
Frankly, I'm not that crazy about them. They're a pain to put on but that's probably because of the type of table I have. They're not very lightweight so carrying two of these in a restaurant would be a hassle, plus they fold up but don't stay folded (if that makes sense). I keep them bound together with a bungee cord to keep them flat for storage. They do come with travel cases but I can't them to go into the cases without taking them apart (maybe "operator error"?!). These cost about $50 each so not cheap.

Good luck finding the right choice for you!
