I have just started having swelling in my hands and feet, but also I wake up in the morning and my hands feel sore. Does anyone else have this???

I did with my last preggohood and you need to call your doc. Swelling at your stage is a sign of pre e but it may just be a fluke also. Better safe than sorry type thing. Good luck and keep us posted!

I just started getting swelling last week. And now my hands hurt SOOO bad it is unbelieveable. Expecially when I first wake up I can barely close them. They said it was my joints being sore from the swelling. Doesn't make since to me since they aren't swollen at night but what ever.

I would call your doc and see if their is anything you could do because you still have a ways to go. There was a post on here recently about watermelon helping.

I go to the doctor twice a week and have never had any BH or preterm. I told my doctor about the swelling and she said that it is not that bad right now, but to keep an eye out. I had my cervix measured last thurs. and it was 4.7cm with no effacement. The soreness is just when I wake up in the morning and I only swell when I have been on my feet for more than 2 hours.

yup, I totally have that! have for a couple of months now and havn't had any bp issues... yet. I'm going on to 29 weeks so I'm not sure what it's all about.

I've been experiencing exactly the same thing since around 30 weeks. (I'm 35 weeks now). My doctor says it's carpal tunnel syndrome and is completely normal. I find that when I first wake up in the morning I cannot make a fist with either hand because my fingers feel stiff. After I get up and move around awhile, it gets better. My left thumb has been completely numb, though, for over a month, and the palms of my hands are bright red. Doc says it will go away as soon as the babies are delivered.

I have the same thing in my hands - when I wake up I can barely make a fist with either hand. It gets better after a little while. The feet are not as bad - but get more swollen if I am on them for a while. My BP has been fine and no other concerns so I figure I will just deal with it for a few more weeks.

I had no issues and still swelled. It's pretty normal at your gestation.
