Sore throat!

    How can you tell if your toddler has a sore throat....DS has been punky and said his neck hurts....Not sure if its his neck that really hurts, or its his throat???

    Take him in for a strep test. Seriously. For some reason it's around this summer. My entire house has either had it or has it currently, in the past 8 weeks.

    If his neck hurts, that's a sore throat most likely. Good luck!!

    How old is he? Is he drinking? I think if he refused to eat or drink I'd call the pedi.

    Ditto, strep has been rampant here since like January! It just won't die!!!!

    Both my kids say their neck hurts and they have had strep throat. You might want to make a visit to the Dr.

    STREP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anytime ANYTHING hurts above the shoulders... I call strep! GL! We are still on abx for it right now!

    I'll double (triple? quadruple?) the strep, my son had it 4 times last fall and I had it once. It's all over this year!

    hes 3 years old, and is drinking and eating fine......he let me look at his throat...wasent red at all....but thanks for the advice, i will call Dr in the am
