Sore, swollen lower belly...

Well, for about the last week, my lower belly has been getting sore -- not all the time, but if I press on it, it feels like its brused inside. I've always had a bit of "hang" at the bottom of my belly (remenants of my pre-baby belly fat) -- but it seems like it's getting bigger (and feels different - kind of swollen) Is this at all normal? I have an OB apt. on friday - and will ask about it then -- just curious if anyone else has the same thing.

Very normal. I had it and my peri said it's normal. I actually stayed with a very puffy lower belly.

 

Doesn't sound too comfortable. Probably normal, but definitely mention it to your OB anyway.

 

I didnt get swollen, but i did have parts of my belly that felt like bruises when i touched them. It hurts!

 

I am almost 16 weeks and I have been experiencing the same. The scary thing for me is I have not gotten much bigger except in that hanging area. I always have to console myself that I may just be widening out instead of popping out because at least my regular blouses are much shorter when I wear them but if I did not tell you, you will not know I am pregnant. It was the same way with my son-did not pop out till about 5 months but I kind of expected something different this time with twins. I have my OB appointment coming up in two days so i get a chance to ask if everything is normal.

 

I remember that, like its been stretched to the limit! :blink: If you end up with sharp pains, then you need to call your OB. :hug99: Take it easy, 34 weeks is a great milestone.
