My little ones just got over a pretty bad cold and their little noses are so raw. They are actually bleeding. I want to clean it up and get all the "crusty" off, but every time I do, it bleeds worse. Should I leave it to heal, or is there something I could put on it that would help. Thanks in advance for any help.

Put a little vaseline or aquaphor on it a few times a day. Poor babies.

Using A&D ointment will help. It is similar to vaseline, but has a high content of lanolin (which will help it heal faster).

All of the above will help!

And what I do when we're in the midst of colds is use a wet wipe to get the hard crusties off (after waking up for example) and I spend the extra cash on Puffs Plus with Lotion. My own nose would be a constant raw mess without those, so that's all we use at our house!

OK sorry to be gross but are you sure the "crusty" is snot and not just scabs? If it is snot I would clean it with just cotton wool and warm water (least irritating/painful thing) and while their noses are actually bleeding I would use just a basic anti-septic cream. Once the bleeding has stopped and they are back to just raw then I would use one of the creams suggested above.

A good trick I have learned is to apply a little bit of Vaseline for every 3 or 4 times I have to wipe their nose when they have a cold. It forms a barrier that stops the skin from being rubbed raw by the tissues (I use it on myself too!).
