Last week I was noticing my breast were feeling really heavy and swollen. I thought maybe it was because I had started working out (part of my New Year's Resolution), however I haven't worked out since and they are still tender and heavy. Even Dh commented on how they look bigger. Now I am starting to get headaches. I am not sick yet, but I am STARVING!!

I am on the pill. We weren't planning on getting pregnant. However, whatelse could it be? I know tender breast could be from the bc pill, but I have been taking the pill for awhile now and it would make sense to all of the sudden have a side effect develop. Any thoughts...I still have about a week left on the pill. That probably means a pg test won't show an accurate result for over a week, right?

Hopefully this is the right spot to post this. DH doesn't even want to think about the idea of having another baby right now (he is still in Optometry School). I don't really want to tell any family right now.... I guess I am just looking for someone to talk about this with.

Any other signs that you remember from your other pregnancies?

My indicator with Liam was a heightened sense of smell and being turned off by some foods. I took the test about 4 days before AF was due and had a light line. (I took another test every day for the next 5 days). My sense of smell was in overdrive with the twins as well.

I had light bleeding and finally tested after a week. Since the twins were IVF, I was in amazement when I got a positive test! Try not to stress and go buy a test!! We have several ladies on the board who got pregnant on the pill. I hope you get the answer you want!

I hope you are pregnant if you want to be, and it certainly is possible even on the Pill. But that said, the Pill definitely mimicked pregnancy symptoms for me. I had been on it for years and never had that, but when I started it up again after the girls were born, I had one month when I was terrified that I was pregnant. It felt exactly the same.

My main symptom for both pregnancies has been nausea and vomiting. They have been such overwhelming symptoms, that I can't really remember the others. Maybe another one could be that I get zits on my chest when I am pregnant and I have had a little bit of that.

Do you think it is to early for a test? AF came on Christmas Eve.

Back in August I thought I could be pregnant then too. I didn't have a period. I had a gap of over 50 days without a period. That has never happened to me before. I guess only a test will tell.

Thanks for all the advice ladies! :)

When I was on the pill my breasts all of sudden just started getting sore every month, and heavy. It freaked me and got me so excited I thought I was pregnant, just turned out to be a symptom of the pill. So it is a possibility thats what is going on. My Dh suspected I was Pg this time because my breasts looked bigger to him. Everyday he would say you have to be pregnant, "your girls are HUGE".

I hope you get the answer that you want.

I am probably having the same thing happen now. I just thought that it was weird that all of the sudden they would be sore and heavy and big. I only remember them changing when I was pregnant. I guess time will tell.

Thank you for everyone who has listened to me ramble in what most likely will be a false alarm. :) It is always nice to have someone to 'talk' to.

I hope everything turns out how you would like it to. It definitely could be from the pill, but if you are unsure, take a test. Its a tough call, and the waiting is agony I know. Hang in there.

I'd take a test. The HPTs test for hCG and birth control pills do not affect the result. The pill won't give you a false negative or a false positive.

I'd do a test! And then come back and tell us what you find out!!! :D

Take a test...they have them at the $ store here (just found that out this time...whish I had known about them the years I was TRYING and spent oodles on neg pg tests!! )

Anyway, I was sure I wasn't pg, because I don't just get pg I've always had to really try (and was b/f on bcp) so I took a test because my dh said jokingly, "maybe you're pg" and I was going to Florida the next week to visit my friend who's dh just left for Iraq and I planned on finishing off a few bottles of wine with her...and when I saw the test for only a buck I took it and obviously it was pos. YIKES....so... TAKE A TEST...put your mind at ease. B)

I hope whatever answer you get makes you happy! Keep us posted!!

Seems there have been a lot of posts lately regarding getting pregnant while on the pill. My DD is one of the many who have experienced that. DD was not on the pill when she got pg with the twins. She started on the pill (don't know which brand) when the babies were 6 weeks old and she got pg when they were just 20-21 weeks old! So it's definitely possible.

I hope you're pregnant IF YOU WANT TO BE and not pregnant IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE! :)

Sore breasts were my first sign this time around. I refused to believe it, but everytime I put my seatbelt on or something, it just didn't seem right. We weren't trying to get pregnant, infact we were trying to not get pregnant, so when I went and bought the test and took it, I about fell over when I saw the positive sign. So I guess anything is possible. I hope the outcome is what you want it to be. Keep us posted.

So, for an update. I took a test on Fri, but it was Negative. I wonder if it could have been to early to test. AF hasn't came yet, so I think I will go a couple more days and then do another test. On a bummer note, I went to a couple of $ stores in the area and they were all out of their cheap test, so I had to buy the more expensive ones. <_<

When I was pg with the twins, my period was almost 2 weeks late before I could get a test to read positive.
