my LO's were sick this past week and were rocked to sleep every time they needed to sleep.
now today they are screaming bc they aren't being held. did i 'spoil' them by picking them up for a week and helping them sleep?

My girls went through this after the holidays... they were held and played with by family for about 5 days straight... then when we got back home family didn't come too! I'd say you did not spoil your babies... they were sick. I'd have done the same thing. Good luck.

I worry about that too - I didn't let my boys cry much at night at the in-laws house and they came home with a cold so are getting lots of rocking and comfort nursing.

I'm 35 and I like to be comforted when I am sick. I would not consider meeting a basic human need 'spoiling'. Just my opinion- taking a few days to re-establish routines is better than denying comfort when it is genuinely needed because it would disrupt a routine. Sounds like you are a good mama! Good luck transitioning back to what worked before. We are about to transition away from rocking and cuddling to sleep as well.
