I had an appt with my OB this morning at 9:30. We were to discuss yesterday's u/s and get my FFN done. I get up, rush around, get Emily ready for school and to school, come home, eat a quick breakfast, drive out there (about 20minutes) just to be told that he has two c-sections this morning and cannot see me. So I asked about this afternoon, and he has another one at one. So I asked about tomorrow since he is at the midwives office on Thursday (his office is at the hospital and he is there on Wed). Luckily I got in tomorrow afternoon, but I was sooo p***** off. I asked why I wasn't called, and was told that it just happened. I am just irritated b/c that was a waste of gas, and tomorrow I am calling about an hour before hand to make sure he is there b/c that office is a little further away. I know that this can happen since he is pretty mucht the only doctor, but I just wanted this FFN done, and they could of called my cell phone and told me.

I got out to my car and just cried. I have just been blah the past couple of days, and DH's job situation wasn't helping, and just lost it.

Plus, it is my b-day, and so far it has sucked bad!! We have nothing planned either. I am just blah and sad and could cry on the drop of a dime today. I need DH hugs bad!!

:birthday: So sorry you are getting off to a rough start! I had my doc appts cancelled a couple of times because she was out on a delivery. I just told myself that one day it would be ME that she was delivering!! I agree though, they should have called, they didn't call me either. Hang in there momma, try to have a little fun on your bday! :hug99:

That does stink! I missed my OB last week b/c he got called away for an emergency c-s while I was doing my NST. I wish I had seen him first! They still did my appt w/ the midwife but she couldn't check their weights then.

But on Monday they're cancelling four of his appts to deliver me - so I guess that's just what happens. At least they'll know in advance!

    Hugs,
    Krista

Hang in there, Emily! I'm so sorry your bday has been so bad. I know what you mean about crying at a moment's notice. You're not alone in that. The littlest thing can set me off. Good luck on improving your day. Maybe do something for yourself - get a pedicure or something...to make you feel better... :)

Happy Birthday! Sorry it's off to such a bad start, hopefully it will get better. I had that happen once when I was pregnant with my boys, I was so mad they didn't even call and let me know. This from the same doctor's office that charges a fee if you don't cancel an appointment early enough. I told the receptionist I wanted a credit for the time I had wasted - no luck there.

I hope the rest of your day goes well, try to relax!

Although I know it would be nice if they called, often there isn't time because an emergency c-section will always take priority. There were times when I was in the waiting room for 30 minutes and then had to see a different doctor than I was scheduled to see because my doctor got called out to an emergency during my wait. It used to irritate me until I had my twins. I am sure there were women ticked off when I delivered my boys by emergent c-section because I took 2 of the peris out of the practice. I am sure that people had to be rescheduled, and probably some that were already there in the waiting room. I wish I could tell them that their sacrifice, as irritating as it was, could very well have been the difference between my sons being here with me or being angels in heaven. I am sure that had they known the brevity of the situation, they would have TOTALLY been appreciative that our doctor would do anything to save their children and that he did save mine.
