Took Breena to the ped on Monday because I thought she had torticollis. Doctor agreed and referred me to a Pediatric Therapy Facility. Called them right away to make apt. Was able to get apt for Thursday. Said they needed a Rx for the therapy and cervical x-rays. Called doctor back. Had to pack up the girls and go back to the dr to get the Rx for the x-rays (why she didn't do this while i was there the first time i don't know). Came home and called the health insurance co and the radiology facility. Had to take both girls to get Breena's x-ray. They can only fax the x-ray report to the dr.

Tuesday. Called the dr and left msg r/g the report. Doctor calls me back and scares the crap out of me. DH calls the dr for clarification so I calm down. Dr promises to fax report to therapist.

Wednesday. Called therapist. No report was faxed. Called dr. They are closed. Received ridiculous amt of paperwork in the mail from therapist to complete before thursday's apt. Called radiology facility - can i get a copy of the report? Yes. Take girls to pick it up and go to dinner w/ DH. Return home at 9pm to find a message on the machine from the therapist - WHO SAYS BREENA'S APT IS CANCELLED!!!! What the &^%@#!!! It's less than 13 hours from her apt time! Message says they didn't receive the report, so my apt is cancelled. Why didn't they call before the end of the business day? Caller ID shows they called at 6:44pm! I call immediately and leave a message stating that we will be there with the report and paperwork at 7:45am. Outgoing message says the office hours are 8-5. Don't know why they waited until almost 7 at night to call.

DH took time off to go to this appointment. I have been a nervous wreck all week worried sick about my baby and what is going to happen. I can't believe they did this....especially since I have to sign an Attendance Agreement!

I am so completely frustrated and upset. If we show up there and are not seen, I'm going to totally lose it.

wow, i'm so sorry you've been given the runaround! It's really unfair that they called you at the last minute like that, especially for something beyond your control. I really hope they see you tomorrow morning! It's not easy worrying about your little ones when it seems that to doctors, it's just a job...

    Good luck!!

wow I am not surprised you are upset, I would be PO! I hate getting the runaround especially when it has to do with my or my children's health. Hopefully when they have all the initial paperwork it won't happen again. Sounds like somebody wasn't doing their job though.

That really irks me . . . if YOU had cancelled with less than 24 hrs notice, I bet they would've charged you a fee of some sort. But THEY can cancel with such short notice and without giving you a chance to fix the problem??? That would NOT sit well with me either. I hope you marched in there this morning anyway!

    Thanks everyone!

We were able to be seen this morning at 8am as scheduled. Breena did really great....very tolerant of the stretches and exercises. She's just so cute and sweet. She has a mild case of torticollis so hopefully she will respond well to the treatment. I feel much better now that we have a plan.

    Thanks again for the support!

Glad to hear you were able to be seen and that your visit went well! I am sure her torticollis will just be a memory very soon! :)
