soo close to rushing sophia to the hospital i am drained...

My little angel sophia came down with a cough<mind u she was sick 3 weeks ago and lexie sick last week> on friday...by sunday i was giving her neb txs b/c she was wheezing..no fever.. monday she started striding.. high respirations... i took her to the ped...he put her on prednisone... the nebs...and antibiotic... when i got her home she was just plummeting.. i put her in a steamed shower room... gave her treatments..and got her over the hurdle .. i am a nurse..and did not want to take her to the hosp unless it was really necessary.... but i was soo scared...so she has been sleeping in our bed..today she was a little better..butsoooo wired and nuts from the steroids!!! i am sooo tired..havnet slept in 3 days and i am also feeling so bad for alexandra b/c she hasnt gottem that personal attention from me the last few days b/c i have been dealing with sophia... I just feel so ******..and no one would understand but all of you ...

 

Have they tested her for pneumonia? My nephew just spent 2 days in the hospital b/c of it...sounds a lot like what you are describing. I hope she feels better soon.

 

I am right there with you. Unfortunately, one of my boys did go to the ER Sunday night and got admitted. Trying to get any rest there is HORRIBLE. :icon_eek: Luckily, he did get to come home Monday night. I was a little scared this morning he may need to go back. But, by the end of the day he's looking better. His brother on the other hand is starting the same symptoms -- fever, high resps, wheezing. I just started him on the nebulizer and if he still has high resps, we'll do steroids for him too. I just really hope he doesn't have to go to the hospital. Please, oh, please! My husband has been out of the country and won't be home till Sunday night. I am so tired too! I'm ready to crash! :blink:

My little girl had croup a few weeks ago and it NOT FUN!! It's stressful and scary. Then about a week ago they picked up runny noses again and this morning they were running green, so I finally broke down and took them to the doctor. DS had two massive ear infections and DD had starts of one. Isn't it time for all the colds and runny noses and couging to go away???
