DO you find it amazing your twins learn anything? I feel like all day all I say is "No" "Don't touch", "We don't hit, bite, ect", "Get down".....eh the list goes on!
I'm just amazed that they both say lots of words and follow commands and do so much! They are so smart but sometimes I just wonder how they learn it all!! LOL:) My nephew is much better behaved at the table and such and I'm sure it's bc he doesn't have an audience to entertain like the boys do!
Do you ever feel this way? :silly:

I do think this way but I think they observe so much that is going in the world and those neurons are quickly firing & they pick up things quickly. I am surprised that my kids say more then "Don't do that!, Stop!, Be careful!" I feel like I've been saying those three phrases constantly since they started walking!

All the feeding books and articles say not to react when they do something bad in the high chair or they'll keep doing it. What about when they have a built-in audience who thinks throwing food is hilarious?? :tease:

i'm a little terrified at how quickly they're picking up on new behaviours/words these days. i'm not very good yet at censoring myself.

LOL! Exactly...its just a totally different world teaching 2 babies the same age!!! Or trying not to giggle along with the behaving twin at the misbehaving twin!

Hey my guys are learning lots! They already know how to say "no throw", "careful", and count to 3 with me when they're misbehaving. :faint:

yep! good luck maintaining your sanity!!

I had a friend who foster cared for twins... she mentioned that at some point they faced the twins away from each other to feed them... haha! so that they wouldn't be each other's audience. we've never really had to do that, and then when I'm home alone that wouldn't work for me to feed them anyway.

yes there are many times I've said that "they learn in spite of me"... though I do know that I am able to teach them things too... just keep plugging away! My favorite thing they've learned is to pray for meals! they are the cutest things! they fold their hands and say some type of "Drr Jsus" then my ds babbles on and on! when they first learned it was hysterical b/c they'd climb into their chairs and start this... like they were literally praying for food to come!

anyway, they might not know other things, but they can pray for food now.

I was not surprised at all that one of my ds's first phrases was " sit down" (pronounced seet dow wun - soooo cute). He hears it often enough when he is trying to jump on the couch, houdini his way out of his carseat or climb the stairs!!!
