    hello, mommas!

i've used my bob nearly daily since i got it last year in august. i've never cleaned it, though! have any of you? how do you do it? can you remove the cover? i use a sponge all over it, but it's never gotten a good cleaning.

also, does it bother anyone how scrunched over the kids are when sitting in it? not good posture at all. at least in ours.

also, does yours ever squeek? all the sudden ours started squeeking a few months ago. can't really find out where it's coming from so we haven't greased it yet. the noise is starting to bug me.

last thing--how long do you think the kids will fit in it? mine are small for their age and already seem like they'll be too big for it soon (besides the fact that they can't stand being confined anywhere!). just wondering if anyone knows how old or how big the kids will be when they outgrow it.

    tia!

I have heard the squeking too, but only on one side. I have cleaned it, usually hose down the under carraige and wheels. I have not really cleaned the canvas seats either, however it was in the back of my truck while I drove through a bad storm. When I got home it wasn't wet at all. It must be water proof, which would make me think a good wiping would be fine. That drive home was 45 min long, and it was bone dry.......pretty impressed!

I am having a problem with flat tires! My neighbor has one and hers has flat too???? Weird......

As far as age or weight. My neice and nephiew are 3 & 4 and they fit in it good. You probably could find some reviews on that.

I have the bob revolution doulie and I love how it drives but there are lots of things with it that I thought would be better. I have never cleaned it either except with a cloth. I also noted the squeeking and found that greasing the suspension helped. I don't really like how the straps are positioned and find that my little guy doesn't sit very well in it so I have put a roll under his legs to help his but from sliding forward. Also it tips realy easy if there is anything hanging on the handle bar at all and we had an unexpected tip but thankfully everyone was buckled in and fine. I also find that the sun shades are flimsy(sp?) I thought that they would be made better. My three year old fits in it no problem so I think they should be good for a while. Despite all the little things that bug me I still love using it because I haven't found one that drives as nice on all the different terrain we go on. To bad they couldn't fix the little things because they sure charge you enuff for the stroller. Let us know how it works if you are able to figure out how to wash it.

I have the Bob as well, I have only hosed down the wheels and wiped down the canvas. I really do like it...I have not heard the squeaking but it usually does seem like my tires run low very quickly.
As for the size, I thought I read (for the dualie) up to 100 lbs. Not sure about height though.

ditto on the tires... always when i'm in a rush... ugh! I keep a bike pump next to it in the garage now! we actually switched to a maclaren for daily use just because it's much lighter and less bulky. I always had to remove the front tire so I could close the back door with the dualie revolution in the back of my suv! so, it's gotten much less use lately but it is by far my favorite for it's smooth ride and awesome maneuverability. I love to run and it's (so far) the best thing I've found to run with... although I MUCH prefer to run w/out it LOL!! I have no input on cleaning it.... huh, guess I should at least give it a good wiping down soon!! We had it out in the rain during spring. We bought the yellow rain cover for it and the girls stayed totally dry (we were out in the rain off and on for most of the day) and when we got home I decided to open up the stroller to let it dry and it was already dry! Yep, that impressed me!!!

To fix the (very annoying!) squeak, buy one of those WD40 lube pens and dab it around the top of the suspension-thingies (I know...very technical). It worked like magic for us!!

I have never really cleaned it...occasionally we will vacuum it out.

we have the mesa orange revolution duallie since our boys were 8 months, and we have not ever cleaned it. not even once. my husband has actually just turned it over and gave it a few shakes in order to remove sand and blades of grass, but that's about it.

it's a great stroller, it disguises dirt really well ;)

my guys aren't all that huge either (50th percentile in height for the 15th month wellbaby checkup), and i would have to say that they look enormous in the BOB. it must just be an illusion to me though because i am always thinking that they are looking bigger than ever everyday.

as others have mentioned, our wheels went flat also (no squeaks though) but it was easily remedied by filling it back up with air using a pump.

I bought a BOB single stroller the weekend I conceived the twins, and DH wouldn't let me get a duallie. <_< For fit wise, my 3 1/2 yr old is tall for her age and is too big for our BOB. My DH was just telling me this weekend that we should probably sell it since it goes un-used. :( I'm just not ready to emotionally part with my BOB.

Huh, my bob squeaks too - I thought it was something I was doing wrong. I shall hunt down my tin of WD-40!!! Haven't had any problems with the tires (yet..) & no, in the past year of ownership, I have never cleaned it. Shaken it out, yes, but cleaning? I barely even clean my house and myself, let alone a stroller!!
