I was in Walmart the other day, and had a encounter with this lady. I was checking out and she was admiring the girls. She asked if they were twins, and I said yes. Then she proceeded to say that there was no way they were ID. I told her that they actually were and she said well I can't hardly believe that, their eyes are a little different. :icon_eek: I then told her that I have a DNA test to prove it and her response was WOW thats hard to believe, and walked away. People like this just bug me, why does she think she know more about my children then I do? Liberty's eyes are a little more squintier (sp)then Leighannas but I think the reason why is because she weighs a lb more and also her face shape is longer then Leighanna where hers is more round.

What do you ladies think, you've all seen pics of my girls? Should I second guess the DNA test?

Your girls are beautiful, and they look identical. Don't let that woman bother you. Of course you know more about your own girls than she does. It bothers me when people do that too but I just ignore it. But then again my girls really do look different b/c there's a 3lbs difference and more hair! Then I get some people who ask how I ever tell them apart! Silly lady has no idea what she's talking about!

don't second guess the test over a crazy lady at the store! I was at a store one day and a lady proceeded to tell me that my boys were absolutely without a doubt identical! She argued and was actually rude about it and acted as if I was the idiot! I just calmy told her that one had blue eyes and they other had brown...therefor they could not be identical. :D Some people are just dumb.

Feel free to use my answer -- they're NOT identical, they just have the same DNA. People do love to try to spot the differences... like it's a game, or something.

I agree what is it with no it all's!? I go to walmart weekly, and the same cashier EVERY single week asks me if mine are ID. She exclaims, they just HAVE to be. I was like, no actually they are Frat. My guys look NOTHING alike... LOL

I know how frustrating it can be!

Silly people! I don't think you should doubt the test. People in general seem to know-it-all about babies and lots of times they are wrong..when it comes to twins they are even more wrong! I found this out while trying to explain to a friend that boy/girl can't be identical, and to this day she will NOT believe me! Just nod and move on... ;)

We had TTTS, so my girls- who are identical- do NOT look exactly alike- one is smaller and has a darker complexion than the other and way more hair. This, I am told, is due to the TTTS. I am to the point where I am just going to say they are fraternal to strangers if they ask because I don't like explaining the whole thing.

Thanks I think I'll have to that next time.

Thank you everybody. Sometimes I have a hard to not thinking about things people say. I have a tendicy to over examine things. It would be so nice if I could take my brain out and have a good break from thinking. :)

I'd love to know what makes people think they have the right to argue with the mother of children whether or not they are ID ... :umm: I think you guys are right, Wal-Mart is full of loons. I'll never forget a trip to Wal-Mart with my mom when I was about 34 weeks pregnant with the boys ... I'm not even getting into it, you guys all know how huge you were at that point, PLUS we were being suprised on the sexes, so all the comments and my hormones made it a very crappy trip. Wal-Mart can be full of a different class of people.

This lady sounds like she really knows her stuff. I would be second guessing that DNA test! :p

Your girls are identical. Some identical twins do have small differences with them (my cousin had ID boys and the slightly different hair color) I have had people tell me our girls are identical - when I know they are not.

Don't second guess the test. Your girls are identical! I can't tell the difference between them!!!

I agree with what pp said about WalMart being full of crazies!
