    Just a couple of questions...

    1. Do you feed them both at the same time?
If so, do you do a bite for one, then a bite for the other?

    2. Do you use two separate bowls and spoons?

I do feed them one bite at a time for one and then the other. It saves time and tempers !

Right now I do use the same bowl and spoon...unless one is sick. I tried seperate bowls and spoons and I found it too stressful!! My two are very impatient eaters so I can shovel the food in faster with one bowl and spoon :)

    good luck with solids :)

One bowl, one spoon-and a quick shovel to get it all in there before the sh*t hits the fan! LOL! Oh-and one gets a bite, then the other...Sometimes I might give one a few bites, and then the other a few bites.

Yes-for me-that is all that works. In the beginning, I had the two bowls, spoons, NONSENSE! It would take me HOURS to feed them! We had people over one night(mind you they were twins themselves-one is my Godmother, the other her twin sister). My Godmother wanted to feed the boys-so I put the food in one bowl and gave a spoon-and the COMMENTS about it! Geesh! "One bowl? They have to share? Only one spoon?" Unless you want to feed them out of two different bowls/spoons-go ahead!

They weren't totally serious-making a joke out of it...but still! And these two slept in the dresser drawers as infants!

When I first started and they were hit or miss on the cereal I did one at a time and used different bowls and spoons for each.

Once they got more proficient at it I did them at the same time alternating bites and I still used different bowls and spoons. And once they got to crawling and able to get to each others toys and stuff then I no longer bothered to keep the bowls and spoons separate and I just fed them with the same spoon and bowl and still do now when they are not finger feeding.

Different jars/bowls/spoons for them. Riley goes first, then Reese. It just seems easier that way because while one is taking a bite, the other is smearing it all over his face and in his hair.

We do one spoon, one bowl and alternate mouthfuls. It works pretty well for us. I can't get the food to them fast enough. Although DD thinks it takes too long to give DS his mouthful and so she sucks her thumb in between. Of course it is the thumb on his side of the high chair, so when it's her turn for food, food on thumb is smeared on DS's sleeve. Heaven forbid that he touch her, however, while they are eating. That is unacceptable. :D Crocodile tears ensue.

    Mealtimes are fun!

    Good luck.

One bowl, one spoon, alternate babies with each bite....did it this way from day 1 until they could spoon feed themselves (just started last week).

We do it both ways - at dinner time we each have a baby to feed - so they each get their own bowl, spoon, cup. At lunch it's just one person feeding both (me or dh or nanny), so it's one bowl, one spoon and generally every other bite. Sometimes two bites for one and then two bites for the other. It's chaos because they don't like to wait for their bite. But our nanny says "It's a wonderful opportunity for them to learn patience" :)

Hi, I do one bowl, one spoon, one bite for Sofie, one bite for Maia. They share bottles and they share me! ;)

    One bowl
    One spoon
    One bite for one,
    One bite for the other!

They share EVERYTHING, no matter how much you try to keep them seperate........usually if one gets sick, the other gets sick too (no matter how much you try to keep them seperate)......just the joy of having 2 babies the same age!!!

We seperate them on eating but only because DS hates vegetables but loves fruits, and DD hates fruits and loves vegetables. They share everything else though. Sippy cups, passies, toys. I dont really care if they put the same things in their mouths.

When I started cereal, I did one at a time as it was hard to get them to eat it. Once they got better at it, I started feeding them together. One bite for each.

I feed both of mine at the same time, and I use the same spoon and bowl. I was actually just thinking about that today, and Im glad to hear that I am not alone in doing so.

one bowl, spoon (and extra on hand so Indira can grab the one I have for a while and then throw it on the floor and take the next one I have) and one bite for one then the other. Easier and I too agree with pp, I think it will eventually teach them about patience...and sharing.
