Soft Cervix

Last Friday afternoon I went into the dr because every 10 minutes my belly was getting really hard so I decided to call and they wanted me to come in. I had to see a different dr because mine had already left for the day and she said my cervix was a little soft? I asked her like 5 times if that was ok and she was like yaaa its ok but didn't sound too convincing. Is this anything to be concerned about at 28 weeks? I thought it was still supposed to be hard?

 

I have no idea....I was checked only once at 23 weeks when I went in the hospital and stayed <_< and at that time all they said that it was closed... Call your doc and ask what does that mean, then come back and let me know...you know how we do it Lorin :lol:

Well I had an appointment on Monday and I asked my doctor if it was ok and said the same thing and sounded just as convincing as the other doctor. I know my doctor wouldn't put me or the babies in any harm but I am not convinced that it is ok. When is your next apt? My dr has been checking my cervix every apt since 24 weeks.

 

Mine has been soft since 27 weeks....just this week she said it was really soft and squishy...she told me just to try and get a little more rest!

I go back next thursday, I was just there yesterday and she didn't check it. I think in my case it may be because my cervix when they check it by ultrasound has always been beyond 5...I'll ask when I go back next thursday...
