Soft BMs for almost a week

Our girls have had very soft BMs for almost a week now. I don't really know if they would be classified as diarrhea or not but some are quite soft/soupy (yuck, sorry). They are doing fine besides this - they are playing, eating, sleeping, drinking and acting like normal. They don't have a fever. Without any other symptoms, should I be taking them to their doctor? Is there anything she could even do for them? Perhaps it is related to teething - one of them seems to be getting her 2 top eye teeth in and the other one I don't know - I tried to take a look this morning and she wouldn't let me! ;)

    Any thoughts.

I was going to say are they teething? I've noticed with all 3 of mine when they were/are teething they always have loose BM's.

Close enough to diarrhea for me. I would be careful and if it's not teething, just be vigilant about hand washing etc. and all their toys etc.....

We have some soft stuff most of the summer because they eat SO MUCH FRUIT, so maybe that would be adding to the trouble?

Just to be safe you can try taking milk away (use Lactaid) for one carton. See if that helps. If they HAD some virus initially, it's tough to get rid of the "runs" if they have milk/formula.....

Yogurt and Applesauce will help return them to a better BM.

If they've been eating a lot of fruit, that could do it.

The consistency of BMs also just varies a lot. I might worry a tad if they were super-soft for a whole week -- but mostly because I'd be worrying about them getting kicked out of daycare, not because anything is really wrong (probably). Try giving them more stuff from the "BRAT" diet and less fruit (especially citrus) and juice.

mine had this for about 10 days back in june/july. we even had labwork done, and it came back negative. best guess is it was just a virus
