The boys need socks with good traction on the bottom. For some reason, they still slip sometimes when wearing both Target socks and BRU socks. Do you know where I can find some that are really good. Thanks

CARTER'S! The stay put socks or whatever they call them. They are nice and snug around the ankle so they stay on AND they have great grippage on the bottom. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!

We use the target socks.. are they the right size? If we use the wrong size there is not enough pressure on the grip and they slip and slide.

My boys did well in these socks from Old Navy. The lettering on the sole is non-skid and they took a lot of wear. They also come in 8-packs for a very good price. Unfortunately, my kids outgrew the biggest size last year. I wish they made these socks in boys' sizes and not just the toddler sizes.

I'll buy some of those socks at Carter's for the twins. I brought mine at Target and they are worthless too. I almost attempt to buy them slippers but they'll be on the floor trying to pull it off, ha!

The BEST socks ever were recommended to me at Hanna Andersson (online). We tried many other brands (BRU, Carters, Baby Gap etc.) and none of them compare to these. They're made of very high quality cotton (something called oko-tex?) so they last forever and the shrinkage is very minor compared to the other brands. They have little no-skid dots on the bottom that truly work, and we have finished hardwood in our house, which are just about the slipperiest floors ever.

Be warned! They are not cheap, but they really are amazing. Here's a link if you're interested: hannaanderson.com socks

The Children's Place has the BEST socks and they do have the traction stuff on the bottom. HTH :)

These are my favorite too and this is what we use too. We haven't had any problems with them falling in them. I have also used Target socks too and they have worked for my two.

We've been pretty much devoted to Old Navy and Gap socks all along.

Nicole, I actually went shopping at our outlets last weekend specifically for socks they can wear and not bust their heads open on the hardwoods. I got some Carter's, Old Navy and Children's Place and so far, so good *knock wood* no bust ups yet!!

I use Old Navy's (and have since infancy) and LOVE them!!! I bought some Target Circo brand socks and they are just as good as the Old Navy's - and we also have hardwood floors...

Old Navy, although the Target socks work okay for us too.

What my mom did for me and my sis when we were little was, the just bought any regular socks, and put puffy paint on the bottom. It was cheap and easy, ands could work on any socks we wanted to wear.

    HTH!!

I didn't have any problems with my boys slipping, but when my dd was little, I just bought puffy paint and painted the socks and footy jammies. worked like a charm and was much cheaper than buying different socks/jammies.
