The congestion, sneezing, sniffling. I'm not sick, and I know at first your body thinks it is becaue of the whole forgien object and all. But I have no idea how many boxes of tissues I have already gone through, and I'm only 8 weeks. Please tell me it does stop.

I wish I could tell you that, but I was like that my entire pregnancy. Some weeks it wouldn't be as bad and other weeks it was worse. After the kids were born, it stopped almost immediately. Everyone is different though, so hopefully yours will go away!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

still sniffling here-- I think I have permanent cracks in my tongue because I end up breathing thru my mouth at night and it dries out my tongue so bad I get little cuts. dh says this also aids in a new habit of mine, snoring. week 25 and it's not gone yet, sorry :sorry: .

I do hope it clears up for you. A lot of times it really won't. My mom just called...asked if I had a cold :( Nope, just stuffy as usual now.

It did get a little better for me in the third trimester if that is any help. I only sneeze and sniffle in the mornings instead of all day now.

I'm so sorry! I'm another one who has been congested since day one. My head is constantly stuffy! I keep telling people I must be allergic to be pg because I sneeze so much lol.

Nope. Sorry, I have had that problem the whole times. Sometimes it is more bearable. Saline nasal spray can help and there are some decongestants you can take, check with your dr. Good luck.

sorry. it's a pregnancy thing but if you are really really congested to the point where breathing is inhibited and/or sneezing quite a bit you really should mention it to your doctor. i need to be on medication for asthma and allergies throughout my pregnancies because my allergies get so bad. in fact asthma didn't surface until i was pregnant with my eldest! i sat up night after night wheezing for weeks before my husband forced me to see someone. i was actually putting the life of the fetus in danger.

but, try the following for some relief - saline spray (yes, it really works!), vaporub and also the vaporub stick that you sorta stick in your nose and breathe in the fumes. non of this is medicated and therefore completed 100% safe for pregnancy.

    good luck!

Stuffy since day 1 here! I have tons of mucous in my nose. It's the body's way of preparing for childbirth, although why there is more in the NOSE I have no clue. A humidifier may help. I keep meaning to get one, but haven't.

Same for me too, it is such a pain. I now snore which my husband loves to point out since he's usually the snorer. It is so lovely. I choke myself awake when I'm sleeping sometimes :) Luckily it's not usually AS bad during the daytime. I like to use the Netty Pot (nose rinse thing) before bedtime so at least when I'm falling asleep I can usually breathe through my nose, and I also wear Breathrites when it's really bad.
