I finally feel like this year we didn't go overboard and actually got stuff they are playing with.
For my boys the Nerf guns were the biggest hit. They have a ton but their dad picked out the big dart tag ones...I gotta admit even I have fun playing that game. The legos police helicopter and truck also have been played with a ton.
For Mckenna she played every toy she got and put on all her clothes and hasn't stopped. She loves math and playing teacher so I got her flashcards/workbooks and stuff like that and plays everyday.
For josie since she is almost 12 her uggs and all of her clothes have kept her happy
we also got them a 3 in 1 combo table (air hockey pool and ping pong) which they have all been playing with and I love too!

Sounds like it was a great Christmas!! :3: I was :D at your comment about YOU having fun with the Nerf's too. Go momma!

My girls have played with all their stuff equally. We went overboard for the first time yet. DH and I both agreed we won't do it again. :nea: We had fun, and they are playing with it all, but it just didn't feel right. :pardon:

Anywho, their favorites are definitely their Mobigos and a small princess tea party set (castle, 2 princesses, and a teeny tea set). They have always been the best pretend players so this is right up their alley. :good: Another favorite is So soft Pinkie Pie. You feed her and she burps. Their favorite part.

we got them Nerf guns too - but they may have been "seconds" as the springs in them died already...and yes Tony and I had just as much fun!!!

Ian got Super Mario Galaxy, the hands on Angry Birds game and Sorry that he's been playing with non stop...Abby got several of the "Princess and Me" dolls and a Rapunzel dress that have been a big hit - Abby is also watching Cars 2 for the 2nd time in as many days...

My boys got so much stuff they really liked, what a relief! They got a bunch of books which they have been reading. The biggest hits would have to be a couple board games (Sorry Sliders, LEGO Minotaurus) and a card game called Ruckus. My dad also got them some old laptops that he rebuilt, so those probably are the coolest things to them.

I think it's too soon to tell. They were both very happy with their "big gifts" -- Amy's was an American Girl wardrobe that includes a Murphy bed and dressing table, and Sarah's was a Melissa & Doug princess castle dollhouse -- and played with them a ton in the few days right after Christmas. But they've gotten a lot less use in the several days since then -- the kids have been doing art projects instead.

Amy got Sarah one of the "sticky mosaics" art projects, which they both love (they each got a couple of sticky mosaic jewelry boxes for their birthday too). I highly recommend these for girls (maybe boys too, who knows?) age 4+. If you're not familiar with them, google "sticky mosaics" and you'll see what I mean.

They've also been building a lot of Lego projects. They like the really complicated ones that require parental involvement (which is maybe why they like them).

Aaron loves his DS. He also has played with everything else but the love/devotion he shows his DS is hilarious. He packs it up each night and brings it into his room just to "make sure nothing happens to it".

We did good this year and for the first time did not buy them alot of stuff. :good: Their favorite gift was the Leap Pads, they haven't put them down since Christmas!! And they were the reason we didn't buy too much more, they were so expensive!! But worth it if they love them.

Their favorite gifts were definitely their Kindle Fires. Some relatives got them gift cards to Amazon, which has helped get them some apps, books, and music they wanted too.

Squinkies and Legos and books. We haven't had a chance to use the bikes or skates yet. But oh, those squinkies. I have plastic balls in my purse, in my jacket pocket, and I'm sure there are some pieces in dog poop either at my parents' house or at mine. They're really kinda cute though, I want some Hello Kitty ones for work.

My girls loved their art kits best. I found these really nice art kits at BJ's. It's a wooden box with a pull out compartment on each side and filled w/all great art supplies...pastels, acrylics, paints, colored pencils, etc. They have been using them every day. They love to draw and this certainly sparked their creativity more.

The big hit at my house is the itouch . My girls each got one and so did their cousins and best friends. They have had a blast using Facetime! They also love to take pics or videos and send them off to each other. The only reason all 3 got the gift was the great Black Friday price+coupons.

Sean (almost 10) loves his razor scooter and his air hogs helicopter the best. Kaelyn (5) loves her bean bag chair, and razor scooter. She likes her new game for her leappad, but she's been playing Sean's DS and my MIL's DS, so she's been stealing Sean's whenever he's not using it and playing it. I suspect we'll have a nearly new leappad to give to Rylee next year, and have to buy Kaelyn her own Ds for her birthday in september.
