So what is 'in' your Christmas Tree?

Well, my oldest DS was missing a video game for one of his hand held systems last night. He said he laid it on the coffee table when he switched games. Well, that was his first mistake! These games are not very big, maybe an inch long or so. So, we go looking around, and I remembered the twins were messing with the ornaments on the tree. So I told him we should look there. Well, I looked, and found a ball, a truck, an army guy, and a couple other toys, but no game. We looked everywhere. Finally I said it was time to take a bath, and we would find the game somewhere. I even looked in the trash (there wasn't much in there)! These games are like $30 each, and he told the twins they would have to buy him a new one! So I'm giving them a bath and DH asks what it was we were looking for. So I told him and that I thought it was probably in the tree somewhere. So he goes on the search. Not 2 minutes later he comes back with the game in hand! Sure enough, it was in the tree! And he found more army guys too! So, if you are missing something, check your Christmas tree!! Just thought I would share!

    How funny!

This was not so funny, but I actually lost ds in the tree yesterday. DD was in the kitchen having a snack, & DS likes to roam with his snack.....well, I turned around & saw he'd taken off again so I called him - no answer. But that's normal. So I started looking around the house & he wasn't in any of the rooms. I was just about at that "panic" point wondering if I'd opened the door & he'd gone outside when he popped out from behind the Christmas tree, laughing!! I never even saw him back there.

That is too funny! Our kids have been really great about not going near the tree.

I haven't had the experience yet with my dds but when my husband's son was about 2.5, we found the cardboard from the end of the toilet paper placed on the tree. It was so cute so we left it.

The girls don't like the tree I think because it is prickly, but my cats have taken up permanent residence in it!
