So, what ARE the differences?

In my post about having a singleton this time around, everyone mentioned how I will notice all the differences between twins and a singleton. So, other than the obvious (PTL, bedrest, complications, getting big quick, etc)...what differences did you or are you noticing?

    Here are mine

    TWINS SINGLETON
REALLY sore boobs from day 1 Sore boobs, but definitely NOT as bad
NO m/s or nausea LOTS of nausea
COMPLETE EXHAUSTION Tired, but NOT as bad as with the twins
Heartburn 24/7 Lots of gas and bloating
In maternity pants by 9 weeks Still wearing some regular pants at 10 weeks
Aversion to veggies Aversion to veggies
Ate EVERYTHING in site Too nauseous to eat anything healthy and can't stand the smell of anything cooking

So, those are the ones that pop out at me right away! What about you?

    My differences this go around:

I have had morning sickness, I had none with the twins
I get tired and fatigued easily
Shortness of breath from bending over or walking to far a distance
    Migraines
    Shakiness

I didn't have to start wearing bigger clothes as soon, but I was already a little overweight, so I had time to compensate, LOL

I had bad morning sickness with both pregnancies, even had to go to the hospital with the singleton for IV fluids it was so bad...

VERY tired the entire 2nd trimester with the singleton, I was napping 1.5-2 hours per day (deep sleep, couldn't keep my eyes open once I sat down) when the twins napped, this is much better now in the 3rd trimester and I don't sleep during the day anymore.

Much less worried with the singleton, I still worry about an early delivery which I probably would've worried about with the twins if I would've been on this site more....

That is basically it. For some reason I have little recollection of my pregnancy with the twins, I don't remember getting too big or being too uncomfortable in the end but they came at 34 weeks and weighed less than 4 lbs each. I also worked full time with the twin pregnancy even taking call and answering a beeper all night.

I didn't have any sickness at all with either my singleton or twins.
Was way more tired with the twins.
I agree with Kelly, definitely more worried with the twin pregnancy.
With twins in maternity clothes earlier than singleton.
    Obviously bigger with twin pregnancy.
No bed rest with singleton pregnancy.
More Dr. appts. with twin pregnancy.
But on the plus side, more u/s with twin pregnancy.

Those are the ones I can think of now.

I realize I am not that far along, but so far both pregnancies are the same for the most part. Great! A big part might be that I am not getting up at 3am to go to work.

I know I did have some brown (old) blood with the twins, but that was it.

I was really exhausted during the first trimester with the twins. This time around, nothing different from my usual exhaustion from taking care of the twins :)

I've been in matenrity clothes for a while, so that's the same.

    No m/s with either one.

I felt this baby move much sooner than with the twins (about 3-4 weeks sooner). I feel him/her all the time now. Woo hoo!

I'm was WAY more hungry with the twins than with this singleton. Also, the amount of movement with this singleton compared to the twins is very different. I guess it's not how much movement, but that its not from your neck to your toes (as it felt like with the twins!).

The other thing is less stress- since we've already had to take care of two newborn babies, one should be a breeze (I'm praying that I'm not fooling myself here!). We're so luckky to get both experiences!

My first trimester was really lousy just b/c of the bleeding and chronic cramping I had... But my second trimester has been a total breeze. I mean, even now at 26 weeks I still have days where I hardly feel pg....compared to the twins, that is. My second trimester with the twins was really, really horrible... I would have heartburn from the first bite in the morning til the last bite at night...I could hardly eat anything, and everything had to be chased by whole milk to make it tolerable. This pg I've only had a handfull of days where I've had heartburn. Total piece of cake in comparison.

P.S. One thing I have noticed though...is that even though I don't have two heads and two butts poking out, the baby's movements have been much more dramatic... almost more uncomfortable than the twins movements...she is really, really active...and just feels much stronger than the twins felt...But I think that's b/c by the time they were moving strongly they were already running out of space.

The twin pregnancy was a breeze compared to this time, at least so far.

I so tired this time, which is probably due to the fact that I can't just take a nap whenever I feel like it.

The baby's movements are crazy, the twins must have spent too much time kicking each other or they just didn't have the room to move like this one can!

With the twins I was always hungry and could always eat, this time around the food aversions are insane, and the cravings are like a certain thing or nothing at all. It's nuts!

I was skinnier at the start of the twin pregnancy and am heavier after sitting around caring for the twins, hopeful now that they are super mobile after this baby is born we can go on some good walks! Get at least a version of my old figure back! LOL

Here's one to add: I'm SO MUCH SMALLER than I had with the twins. I barely look pregnant where with the twins I was obviously pregnant.
