 I just noticed that my ticker will need replacing soon! Where the heck has this year gone??? I really can't believe how quickly the boys are growing up. To try and look on the positive side, I need your help. What are you looking forward to when your babies are 2? For those of you with older kids, what are some fun things that happen during the "terrible 2's"?

Two hasn't been too terrible at all. In fact I think its been pretty fun now that the girls can talk! The things that come out of their mouths just crack me up sometimes. Of course they get frustrated some times, but at least now they can tell me what is wrong.

I have found the past month or so to be nothing but delightful. The boys are becoming little people more and more everyday. Their vocabulary is expanding, their imaginations are soaring, and they are a blast to be around! They still need me, but are able to communicate their desires so much more pleasantly. Sure, they have tantrums, but not nearly as often as they did from 18-24 months. I think I'm going to love the 2's more than any other age so far!

All of that said, when I think that the baby days are gone, I do feel sad. It's hard to watch them grow, and every day I wish I could slow down the clock and the calendar and just keep them little forever. But, the fun and excitement of watching them become their own people more and more everyday is totally worth it. I just have to make sure I take lots of photos and videos to capture those memories.

I'm looking forward to them being able to communicate better and I'm also looking forward to the adventures of them finding and discovering new things. I loved when my son was 2 and can't wait for that age again!

I loved age 2! The greatest thing for me was the language explosion. It started earlier, but just picked up speed every month. They also got such better control of their bodies and could run, climb, etc. without wiping out all the time. I felt like we could really explore the world a lot more.

The terrible part wasn't really that terrible, either. At least for us, the tantrums were like summer thunderstorms -- they get frustrated, they scream, they get over it. But they weren't really ornery or anything.

I know what you mean about the time just flying by! Mine will be 2 in 5 days!! I can't hardly believe it.

I look forward to better communication. Hearing their words and language develop more. Also, being able to do more with them...showing them things like trains, boats, dolphins, whales, etc...just to see there reactions.

I think, like the others have mentioned, I look forward to better communication, hopefully less tantrums because they can communicate better. I also hope that they both have more hair by the age of two, I still have two baldies!

2 seems so far away for me. I remember it a little when my DD was 2 but again so far away. But right now it seems they are just learning so much each day and I love it, I think this is part of my favorite thing about being a twin mommy because they are developing one right after the other. So I get to see it all over and over again. So this next year will be lots of fun. I am definitely looking forward to it.
