Working that is, I'm really tired. I'm trying not to overdo it and still make it to the end of the month. My coworker comes back from maternity leave Monday so I can finally start training the temp to do my job. That's going to stink, she's 20 years old and has focus issues and she's still in school so she will randomly start doing homework or something instead of working. Oh, and she's my boss's daughter so I can't complain about it.

I keep repeating to myself that it's not too much longer, but I'm tired. I'm putting myself on "bedrest" because I will get to the point that I can't keep up with tax season pace anymore. Actually, I'm already there but faking it well. Like right now, I should be showered and almost ready to go but DH left early with the kiddo for the gym so I have nobody making me do it and my body doesn't want to. Oy, I'm just getting worn out a little I guess. I can handle two or three more weeks, can't I? Sigh... I'm not really looking forward to being home either but at least I won't be wearing myself out.

I remember when I got to the point! I had to take the bus and subway to work, then walk, and the commute was killing me. However it was a moot point for me because at exactly 24 weeks I went into PTL and was put on complete bedrest until I delievered

Oh, Sara. 28 weeks on stinks. It's unbelievably hard to do your normal stuff. Slow down as much as you can and rest.

you have to slow down! At that time, my doctor didn't let me work anymore! I am at home since that time!

    good luck!

Oh, trust me, I'm going slowly. LOL! I wonder if they're going to ask me to stay home before I kick myself out? Simply because my production is so slow right now. I don't have much left to do in order to prepare my office for the temp, so that's a good thing. In fact, I've got filing that has been sitting there waiting for her to do it so I don't have to.

I can do it, just take it slow and steady and rest if I need to. I'm just feeling grumpy today. It doesn't help that we sold my car and the van we were going to buy fell through so we're in week 2 of a rental. I really need to find a minivan!

I'm only at 10 weeks and don't wanna be at work lol. My work doesn't seem to care if i'm pregnant with twins or not. I hope your place of work isn't that way. You need to think about you and the babies. screw work!!!! Hope you feel better. :escape:

  7. I complain to DH everyday how I don't want to work.
I'm 19 weeks and my work doesn't seem to care that I'm pregnant with twins either. I have to have my insurance though, otherwise I would say goodbye to work!

I understand how you must be feeling, but you're probably feeling it even more. I'm only 21 weeks, but I've been SOOO tired this entire pregnancy. The fatigue just hasn't let up. I'm almost hoping the doctor puts me on bedrest soon so I have an official reason to be in bed. My mother in law said if I go on bedrest she'll come stay with us and take care of the kids... I'm so lucky! Good luck on making it to the end of the month. Don't kill yourself doing it though!

Im there! Im still working, but I will be delivering, if everything goes as planned, on Mar 1 which is in two weeks! I have an appt on Mon and we are going to talk to him about putting me on "bedrest"! It is just for my sanity...no heath issues here...Im just worn out! I need rest before the girls arrive!

My real issue is being able to reach things. My work is being understanding, but I'm admin for an accounting firm and it's tax season. It wouldn't be fair for me to ask them to pay me to work full time and overtime and not be able to work.

 It is hard to work and be pregnant with twins. I worked (teaching part time) until I was 24w with my twins and there were definitely tough days. I definitely made sure to sit more than I normally did.

One of the best things that ever happened to me (now looking back on it, at the time it was scary!) was when my peri told me at 28 weeks that I was not to go back to work that I was not to pass Go, not to collect $200 I was to go straight home and put my feet up and only get up to go to the bathroom and to come to appointments until the babies were born and drink, drink, drink!!. I went home and thought I was SO bored! I looked forward to my appointments like a kid going to Disney LOL but it was SO nice!! You need to rest, it is better for you and the babies, I had some issues but my peri said that with twins 28 weeks is the farthest anyone should work. You have a lot going on in there and you need a break before those little sweeties arrive, once they do you will be on permanet overtime!

Funny, my doctor told me there was no reason to go on bedrest anytime soon. I figure I'm going to end up putting myself on it probably making the 25th my last day. I might be able to keep going past that but I'm going to be too tired and uncomfortable I think.

That's funny my doc told me the same thing this week I was like really! Uhh she said everythings going so well and to just take it easy! I think Sara because we are being so proactive expecting bedrest and making arrangements at work to make sure there is coverage when we are gone we will end up working til 36 wks! Lol ;) I feel the same way I might just say put me down for my vacation time before they come!

LOL - I'm just under 4'10", I won't be able to reach to drive for that long! I'm pretty sure she'll take me out of work when I say I need her to though, there just isn't any complication making it necessary.

I think every doctor and doctors office are different. Mine told me that I would be on bedrest automatically at 26 weeks. I was actually happy to hear that since I work at the front desk in a very busy office. Not only that but I work the phones and I get a lot of angry people calling our office. Its a very stressfull job and she also told me if I'm not carefull and my bp goes up again that she would put me on bed rest sooner. I am currently on a temporary bed rest for the past week because of some bleeding from a cyst but it has since stopped. I am so amazed though that some doctors say you don't need bed rest. How ever I am not a doctor =) But I would def. take it before the new ones come into the world. After they are here you will be begging for bed rest.

Haha I'm worried about that same thing Sara! My steering wheel doesn't have tilt and I have to have the seat up so far to reach the pedals! I was like what if I can't fit into the drivers seat! Lol! Yeah I left work today with contractions every 10 min! Got to go to L&D for my first NST, they said everything slowed backdown and heart rates were good. My cervix is "long and thick" ok good!! Now to figure out how much work I can handle I've been working the front desk lately and had a near pass out episode yest! Just sitting, I'm thinking it maybe time to go part time. Going to ob monday we are going to talk about this!

I just have to get the doctor to give a medical diagnosis for the bedrest, but the fact that I am almost unable to drive will have to indicate that I can't work. I have an inch between my tummy and the steering wheel right now. I guess I'll see what she says tomorrow!

Let me know what dx they give you I prob won't be far behind you! They keep telling me it's like I'm having triplets because of "frank" he is my 9 cm uterine fibroid I have hanging out in there too! At least it's not growing! But I think that's why I am measuring even bigger, and you are because you are so petite! I guess I'm glad I'm atleast 5'4"

Umm, I think she just put twin pregnancy on there. LOL! The doctor was surprised I told her I was ready to stop working already, but I really just can't keep up with tax season pace and if I'm here I have to. Let's see if AFLAC accepts this because the woman filling it out didn't look up the code for pre-term contractions which is what the doctor said to use...

Oh, and my stomach is measuring 39 cm! I didn't gain any more weight which means what I gained last time (5 pounds in a week) was mostly from the swelling.

yeah I think Aflac says multiple pregnancy does not count but pre term does, I hate when people that don't know what they are doing fill out important paper work like that!! Ha 39 weeks, I just giggle! My co workers are always like Amber why do you think you will automatically be on bedrest, uhh because my uterus will think it's full term and go into labor easily! Example 1 you already measure 39! I'm atleast glad I haven't have had much swelling yet... And I hope my doc is as cooperative as yours!

not sure what state you live in but here in California if the doctors puts you on bed rest for any reason you can get disability instead of using insurance. Hope this helps. =)

Glad to hear you got the all clear from your doc to stop working! How exciting to start counting down the days. I have no medically necessary reason to be put on bed rest, but ever since being pregnant the only parts of the day I look forward to are naptime and bedtime. Being put on bedrest actually doesn't sound all that bad to me!

I don't have a medical necessity to be put on bedrest, but I really am getting very close to not being able to safely drive due to my size. The real reason for it is that I just can't keep up with work anymore. I'm home today with a sick 2 year old which is a good thing since I probably got 4 hours of sleep last night (due to said sick toddler) and I would be struggling to work the day.
