OK. You've all seen my posts about fevers, MMR, etc. It all started Sunday with Anthony. Tuesday Nicholas joined the fun. I finally thought yesterday we turned the corner. I was relieved to say the least. We've been homebound ALL WEEK. Well-I had to WAKE Anthony up from his 2.5 hour nap(should have been my first clue), and he woke up with a cough and runny nose. This morning-he woke up with a lovely rash. I'm assuming the rash is associated with the MMR vaccine(and chx pox one as well). I'll be calling the pedi momentarily.

What a week. It's quite annoying when dh could care less that I've been home all week with two cranky, miserable, never leave mommy's side-toddlers. There is nothing worse than sick children. To top it off-dh works on Saturdays for tax season. At least my sister will be here tomorrow. And of course it's supposed to be beautiful out and it looks like we will be homebound...

    I need a vacation! LOL!

POOR PUMPKINS! What a week you've had! I hope everyone is on the mend & SOON! Even if the weather is nice & you shouldn't be around other kids, doesn't mean you can't go for a walk or play in the yard....it's actually good for them to breathe fresh air (and Mama, too!)! Hang in there!

(FYI, it could be a roseola rash, too, although your boys didn't have extremely high temps. I wouldn't discount an MMR reaction but the type of rash may indicate if it's truly from the MMR. I was told MMR typically causes a measles type appearing rash & is usually in certain areas---which I forget which. Maybe google pics of the MMR rash & a roseola rash & see which you think Anthony has. Regardless, the treatment will be the same since it's either a virus or a reaction, but it'd be worth knowing if you had to watch for it again with his second MMR in a few years! Hopefully your Pedi will have some good insight there!!!)

GET WELL SOON, ANTHONY & NICHOLAS!

Oh that does sound like it would all make for a very long week *hugs* Glad your sister is coming, hopefully that will help you out a bit. Let us know what the ped says.

Well-I called the pedi. And the nurse said it could be a virus accompanied with a rash. OR..it could be a bit of both-the MMR vaccine and a virus(cold/cough). There is really nothing they can do for either, so I am to watch him and if he gets worse and there is something they can treat him with-I can go in over the weekend. I'm pretty sure it's a mixture of the two. And she did hear him cough-so that was good.

We are down to one nap now. Well-they are down for a nap-at 10am. They were watching Jack's Big Music show and falling asleep. Oh well...Only 7 more hours til dh gets home! ;)

    Poor boys, and poor mommy!
We just all got over a cold, and Sofie had a fever for no reason before that. You feel so bad for them because there is nothing you can do for them.

I hope they feel better soon! And maybe you can get a day to yourself!!

That is so frustrating when there isn't anything you can do. *hugs* I do hope they are over all it soon for their sakes and yours!
