We are antiCIO. We have been holding both the girls to sleep since they were born and then laying them back down and getting up with them in the night. Most nights the girls sleep thru or go back to sleep themselves. Jazzy has been going to sleep on her own for 2-3 months and yesterday at both nap and bed time Jessy went to sleep on her own(actually the girls babbled back and forth between the themselves until both fell asleep. Now we just have to break them of the soft nippled cups!

Way to go girls!!! This is quite the accomplishment - CIO or not. I recommend not breaking the soft nippled cups until they have both been going down on their own for a while.

We won't be breaking them until they are ready. We try every few months with hard cups at night(they get hard cups during the day).

That is great. I have done CIO, I admit, but I'd love not to. We still nurse to sleep and drive around for naps. How do you get them to sleep for naps? My daughter is still in bed with me, because I can't take her non-stop crying in a crib.

Jazzy has gotten to the point where she will go lay down in the floor with her blankie and go to sleep. I hold Jessy to sleep when she is really fussy or put her in my bed and lay down with her

That's great! Hope it continues. It is nice when they go to sleep on their own.
