So proud - my baby counted to 12!

Amanda has always been my cognitive one and Casey has always been more physical. Even in the womb. But, tonight, Mandi surprised me by counting to 12. She's been doing to 5 or 6 for about a week. Yesterday in the van, she counted to 10. Twice. Well, tonight during dinner she was counting and (I hold my fingers up while she says the number) when I ran out of fingers, she just kept going - eleven...twelve. I was so proud of her.

DH wanted to see if she also recognized the written number so we wrote the numbers out last night on their Doodle Pro. I wrote them in order and she named them in order. So, he said, erase them and write them in jumbled order. Fine. I wrote 6, she said six. I wrote 10, she said ten. I wrote 3, she said three. I wrote 7, she said seven. I wrote 2, she said two....and so on. I didn't think to go any higher than 10 because she only had JUST counted to 10 yesterday.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my Mommy excitement. I love being able to watch and help them learn so much new stuff.

And here I thought Hannah was a genius for recognizing her numbers up to 8! Way to go Amanda; maybe we can hire you on a part-time basis for some peer-to-peer tutoring!! [IMG]

Wow that is sooooooooo cool! At speech therapy yesterday Zach counted to 5! I was floored! I knew he knew the #2 but did not know he could count!

BTW how do you know one was more congnitive in the womb? [IMG]

She was th "thinker" and Casey was the "doer". I only say this because Casey kicked th crap out of me, moved all over, and generally made me uncomfortable while Mandi basically would turn a little and nudge me but was pretty reserved. [IMG] LOL!
