We had to finally retire their mobiles, as they are getting pretty active in their cribs.... Now they scream at bedtime and naptime, what else should I use? Fisher Price Aquarium? Anything else??

We had a mobile that could be set on a dresser so that is where I put it. It also projected lights on the ceiling and the girls found that very interesting at night. All this for only $15. Take a look for the mobiles section of some of the online stores like babycenter.com and see if there is something that you think would work for your girls.

Besides a crib toy or 2 each I put a fan on the floor for white noise, they like that. But the best thing they have in their cribs is a "Fisher Price Kick Piano" it has light/music - and can be set on a few different modes - but on the downside sometimes they bump it in the middle of the night and it can wake them up, but on the upside if they wake up really really early they amuse themselves w/ it so mommy can get some sleep before I have to go to work. I think they were about $30.00 ea. I got them at walmart

I didn't buy anything special. I just clipped a baby toy to the crib rail (one of the toys that has a lot of little things on it) and it distracts them until they fall asleep.

We have the aquarium and the flutterbye that the PP posted about. I would recommend 2 flutterbyes because it projects a lighted mobile image on the ceiling, and the aquarium does not. bot have music and lighted activity in the toy.

My mom also got them glow worms for Christmas. They are little half worm/half dolls that light up and play music when you press their tummy. Huge hit with my girls. Sometimes in the middle of the night you hear those going off, but it works because they get themselves back to sleep that way.

That is what I use. Each girl has one in their crib so the music is familiar and if one is awkae and turns it on (hopefully) it wont wake the other. I had one for my son and it has a few drawbacks - the one/off switch is on the top and they can turn it off themsleves so when they hit it it doesn't turn on and they get mad. The batteries also seem to go really quickly. Maybe get a differnt brand but get 2
