So late doing this

Their party was on the 27th, they were officially one on the 29th. The party was dalmations and between their friends and family there to celebrate the day,their cake and outfits it went really really well. My friend Rachel handmade their outfits to go with my theme. They were retro 50's. DD had a dress with a cardigan and DS had a bowling shirt with little black pants.

Then on their actual bday we went to Sea World and they were so well behaved and they really had a good time. Overall it was a great way to end their first official year and now we are ready to tackle getting to 2. I am sure we are in for a world of changes. I was a little sad at first but now I am ready.

To all the first year mom's: it is tough at times but my bff said it best to me. "Remember things they do are phases and as quickly as you have them figured out they will change again". I kept this in my mind as much as I could and on my really long days I would say it to myself over and over and I really think it helped.

Remember to eat, shower, take your vitamins and have a few minutes of me time even when it seems impossible. I deprived myself so much of that I was fried and couldn't function.

The first year goes by so quickly but every moment is worth it when you look at them smile so take time to enjoy that! I couldn't have made it without all the support and people here on TS and I look forward to many more years here.
