So I went to a "singleton" baby shower...

    I was cracking up inside as my friend pulled cute little baby "things" out of gift bags and I realized that I totally expected to see a 2nd one come out of the package. The single outfit/teddy bear/boppy pillow, etc looked lonely and BORING to me! I didn't realize how accustomed I have become to seeing 2 of everything baby! :rotflmbo:

    Anyone KWIM??

    I'm totally with you on this...you expect to see two of everything! Are you talking about everything in pairs as well? I have to consciously stop myself from calling singletons (especially when still in the womb) "they." Don't all babies come in pairs, lol?

    2 years in and I still do the "they" when referring to one baby! :laughing:

    LOL I still catch myself saying "babies" instead of "baby" when I'm talking about someone pregnant.

    I do this all the time! Anything referring to babies is plural.

    I was talking about an infant sling for the chariot the other day with my friend who bought one for her singleton. I was complaining about how they cost $160, and she was like.. no.. they're only $80! I realized that I also double the price of everything in my head too!

    LOL! My hubby and I do this all the time! They do all come in pairs right?!?! He's even said "what would we do with just 1 baby?" I'm like I dont know?!?! LOL!

    Same here! My one BF, her DD kept asking about a another friend who was pregnant, "why doesn't she have two babies like Aunt Nancy..." Too funny!

    I do this too! I went with a walk with my girlfirend who has one baby and after she left I felt bad for him because he was it!

    I do it now with my singleton pregnancy! I say " when I have these babies" err umm I mean "this" baby.
