and holy crap it came back positive! The only reason I took one was because I've had a rough couple days with my teenager and wanted to drink some beers but I was a couple days late (I think) so wanted to make sure. I've only had one period since I've had the babies since I breastfed and that was June 22nd-ish so I wasn't positive if or how late I was. I had DH get me a test (just one because I was sure it was going to be negative) and I took it about 3:45am after I put the babies back to bed after a bottle. SO - didn't even have time to get off the toilet and flush yet and the darn thing was positive before the control line even came up! What the heck!?? First of all - I have tried for a very long time to get pregnant - a VERY long time. I went through several IUI's and we finally got the twins after our 2nd IVF. Never in a million years would I have thought we could get pregnant on our own. We thought we were done and honestly just didn't worry about birth control. HA HA the joke is on us! Holy cow! I've felt a little nauseaus the last few days mid-morning but I thought it was just my low blood sugar acting up again. Umm apparently not. The babies are just 8 months old and my DH is going into the Army (leaving for boot camp in a few weeks most likely..was supposed to be October but thankfully it's getting moved up). SO for the first hour I tossed and turned in denial (couldn't wake DH for nothing). 2nd hour I was trying to figure out the logistics of this 3 children under the age of 2! Holy cow again! This should be very interesting - especially when DH deploys! WOW is all I can say. I mean I'm happy I think - it's a miracle the way I see it but wow! Totally unexpected. DH is going to get another test this afternoon but I'm thinkin I'm preggo. LOL Just wanted to share! :)

Holy Crap is right! I'm really happy for you! Life will be chaotic, but just think of all the fun milestones you will get to experience all over again! Call your doc and get a blood test so you know 100%!

Wow, Lisa. That's a miracle of sorts.

You need to talk with Jackie (JicJac). That sounds a lot like her story.

Now you definitely need to get those kiddies STTN. :)

Congrats!! Boy do I know that shock  We tried for many years as well to have our twins and didn't worry about bc after them and 4 months later I was pregnant!

Wowsers! Congrats! I'm hearing so many of these senarios lately that now I'm second-guessing my decision for forego any birth control. We got our twins with IVF/ICSI after many years of TTC. It would be a blessing for us, but holy cow...how to manage three so very little ones would be quite the challenge for sure at my age! You'll manage just great I'm sure! :)

 What a wonderful blessing! Congrats! Maybe DH and I need to be a little more cautious... We also tried for years, and our twins are thanks to a 2nd round of IVF also. We have chosen no bc as well, but now you got me a little nervous! Don't get me wrong, I would love to have another little miracle, just not right this second :p .

Congratulations and welcome to the "I have infant twins and one more on the way" club! I'm in it too! My babies are 7 months old and I am 11 weeks pregnant. We are going to be busy mamas for sure. We had our first ultrasound Monday and it's one baby so I am looking forward to a singleton pregnancy. Good luck and keep us posted.

CONGRATS!!! I guess a bigger shock would be if it was twins again, lol :) I got pregnant when my twins were 5 months old, it's definitely doable especially if your twins have great sleep schedules. I find I can work my almost 3 weeker around their schedule and get a nap if my oldest babysits all the kids in between!

The hardest times though were the morning sickness in the beginning and the recovery from my repeat c-section. Don't forget to check in at the Pregnant After forum.

That is exactly what happened to us! We tried for nine years, did IVF to get the twins, and seven months later - WOW! After the initial shock of "How will we manage this?!", we're thrilled. Congratulations!!!

Thanks so much everyone! It is finally setting it that I'm really pregnant. I took another test at 2:30 (different brand) and it came up just as fast and just as dark as the one this morning. My big problem is we have no insurance for me and DH until he ships out. We did find out though by Monday we'll have a definite day in August (thank goodness!). I called my OB/GYN and explained the situation and that I'd really like a hcg test and a progesterone test to make sure all is well. I am praying it's not going to be a fortune because she couldn't give me the price (we have to talk to billing on Monday when we go in). She's basically just making it a nurse visit with a blood draw so it will be way cheaper for me and she said normally they don't see patients until they are 8-9 weeks which means I should be ok. They're best guess right now is I'm about 5ish weeks along. I'm hoping I get an ultrasound at a decent time. I have no idea how the Tricare thing works so it will be a totally new experience. With the twins we got ultrasounds every 2 weeks from 6 weeks on so this will be way different. Anyway - I'm excited, nervous, a little scared, but mostly thankful that we have been given this little miracle. Now I really have to get these babies STTN! LOL This momma needs some sleep! I'll update you all on Monday. I'm going in early so I can get the hcg results back that afternoon. I look forward to talking to you ladies who have/are going through this. :) Better run for now. I still have a little girl munchkin that is resisting bed and I think she's finally going down. Thanks again for all the congrats. It made this feel very real. LOL :)

Awww congrats!! It's not unusual after going through fertility stuff to end up with a "surprise" pregnancy afterward! No idea why but I've heard of many cases of it happening! It's part of the reason we went with a tubal, we couldn't afford any surprises now! ;)
