I thought I had the flu I felt so bad but it is just a bad cold. I have slept probably 40 of the last 48 hours. I feel so bad for DH, he gets all 3 kids and has no patience. No one is around to help, my mom has it too, his little sister came to help a bit and his mom works 2 jobs. The babies miss me, I miss them too! DS gave it to me so I figure it is OK for him to come into my room and watch a video for a while. But DH has to get up at night with the twins and then early in the morning..... and now with the time change. Ugh! It is hard enough for both of us to do the parenting thing together, now he is by himself. I would really like to help but the girls don't need to get this! I hope DH doesn't get it.

I think I just realized I am rambling. I think I need to get back to bed. Night.

I hope you are feeling better soon. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but chances are if DS gave it to you the twins are already exposed. :(
There were many times when I would get a cold but DD wouldn't catch it and I was breastfeeding so there is hope! Just try to remember your good hygeine practices and maybe not be so snuggly/kissy though it is hard to resist. :hug99:

I would just err on the side of caution. Wash and sanitize hands frequently and try not to kiss them all over. Its too hard for me to stay away and let my DH do all 3 kids and I figure they have already been exposed. So I do my best, but I dont stay away.

If you are breastfeeding, you won't need to worry quite as much. But you need to wash your hands frequently and no kissing or hands on your mouth or eyes etc. They might already be exposed, but you can't control it all. Unfortunately it's bound to happen sooner or later!! It's a good exercise for your hubby to appreciate it all!! :hug99: GET WELL SOON!!!

Edited to add: Try that vicks vapor rub thing on your feet and put socks on and get into bed! Supposed to really help a bad cough. Then report back when you are healthy again! :D

Thanks everyone. The girls were up several hours last night, with us sucking out their noses. Sophie has an ear infection. Poor thing, it's the 1st time. We will see if Kate gets one too. I am feeling better but will try that vicks thing with the socks tonight!

OK, that Vicks thing is totally bogus. I was up 2 hours later coughing my head off.

The cold has settled in my eyes and nose and I guess I now look like an albino, (I'm red headded and very fair) my eyes and nose ar epink, say my students.

We are getting about 4 hours of interruped sleep a night. What is up with that? I don't even want to go home, just stay at work and sleep......
