So here's why I haven't been on in a while....

I was hoping that things would get easier as the twins got older, but it has gotten harder! I am having to do this alone which makes it harder because DH is so far away. (his comments over the phone to *help* dont make things easier) My 3 year old has gotten clingier and demands more of my attention and the twins are starting to get bored with just laying down. They want to be stimulated and played with constantly! I feel like I am being pulled in 3 directions all the time. I dont know how to de-stress... I feel like I'm going to implode. I started doing yoga again to help...
What else is there? Im over tired, over stressed, and there is still 2 months left till preschool starts!

I am right there with you, if you look at my tickers you will see we are both in the same age ranges w/ all the kiddos, except I do have my DH to help...
is there anyone you can get to come in a help you? it is summer and there are lots of HS students who may love entertaining your 3yo and/or the babies so you can catch a break? you might call your pedi and ask if they have a referral list, sometimes they keep one of girls who have taken the babysitters course thru the american red cross too, or local ymca sometimes has low cost childcare w/ drop off services.

don't stay away from TS, venting here saves sanity.

They are still so young though... it will get easier, I can assure you!! Right now, I am really enjoying this age... they are so independant. BUT, there independantness started around 9 months, when they could crawl and discover new things.

I am right there with you as well. My daughter just turned 2 and my boys are just over 3 months old. It's definitely been one of the most challenging times of my life, hands down. I know it's hard to get out, but is there anyone to help you with the 3 year old? My SIL takes my 2 year old a few days a week and that definitely helps with my sanity.

  6. I dont have anyone that can "take them off my hands" but I do have friends that come by to visit. My husband just told me he was going to be home for a week to work here and I get to have a girls day to go catch up with my teacher friends! (I havent worked since Jan :cray: ) It isnt much to just get a break for one day, but I am so looking forward to it!!! :yahoo:

Have you thought about joining a gym? I mention this because I just did and it has been a lifesaver. Every other day I take my three and drop them off at the nursery. They are spoiled with toys and by two nursery teachers while I work out, relax in the whirlpool, take a nice long hot shower, and then take my time blowdrying my hair and putting on make up. Seriously it has saved my mental sanity and for $100 a month (that's a family pass which includes unlimited nursery hours) it is completely worth it. After I get out of the gym I swear I am a better mother for the rest of the day just because I was able to do something for me. And the kids LOVE to go to the "Toy Room" The nursery teachers are fantastic with them, so I do not feel bad about leaving them there at all. Taking care of yourself helps you to take care of the kids.

Hire help or ask friends to stop by (at least an extra pair of hands). My oldest is 3 and my twins are almost 7 months, and I have a few baby sitter / nanny hours here and there and it really helps me!

  9. 100 dollars a month? That is a really good price! Is that like a Bally's or 24 hour gym? I could probably swing somethin like that.... I had never even thought of that, good idea thanks! :good:
