So here I am...Again!

So I just wanted to say "hello" to all those here in expecting land! I've already been here and done that...and here I am again. But this time, I am a surrogate mother and these babies will be going home to bless another family.

I am barely 5 weeks pregnant. We are assuming that I have twins on board because I have some really high beta numbers. We will find out for sure on 5/17 when we do our 6 week ultrasound. I am very excited about that. Either way, I am definately pregnant and should be due around 1/4/08 - What a happy new year for my intended family!

A little backgroud - my intended parents (IP's) live in France. We met through a classified add on a surrogacy website. They are really wonderful and I like them alot. They are going to make wonderful parents. They tried IVF with a surrogate 3 times before finding success with me.

I am happy to answer anyones questions. Hope to get to know the new crop of soon to be mommas!

 

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ericka and I will be delivering my first babies, identical boys on Thursday! Given how I feel right now I can appreciate what a selfless act you are doing to bring joy to another family. God bless you!

 

What a wonderful gift or gifts you are giving those parents! I would love to do something like that for someone, but I think I wouldn't want to give up the babies once they were born. On the other hand if I could donate my cervix and uterous...I would.

You are just the greatest for doing what you are doing, people like you are hard to come by.

I always thought about being a surrogate. Maybe in a couple of years!! I think what you are doing is very selfless and kind for the couple who cant have children!! I hope everything goes smoothly!! and I pray for them that it is Twins!!

I know someone who did this, after having her own triplets.....she has received blessings many times over, from all the joy that she's brought to her IP's.

yeah, it's really too bad the negative press on TV. Just recently Grey's Anatomy had a surrogacy gone bad story. You should see all of us over in the surrogacy land getting our feathers all ruffled over that stuff!! LOL It's a shame that the few and far bad stories overshadow the real wonderful stuff that is going on for people all over.
