3 days ago we had to take Zack to the Dr. He has had bad sinus drainage and his eyes had been forming nasty puss looking stuff. We were in the car, headed to town, and when we passed the hospital, he was pulling on his ear (which he had been doing all day) and he said "Mommy... ear, go Doctor" and he was pointing at the hospital. So of course I took him. Come to find out, he had an ear infection, allergies and swollen tonsils.

I am so glad they are old enough to tell me whats wrong now!! How awesome!!

I thought this would give moms with younger kids something to look forward to.

I remember being frantic about ER decisions when they were young. It IS so much easier when they can communicate isn't it? Hope Zack feels better soon!

Hope he feels better soon Jamie! That's such a great thing when they can tell you what hurts!

That's very cool. It would have made tonight easier, when I had Sarah shrieking hysterically and refusing to eat, and wanting only to snuggle. Something was clearly wrong (though she did fall asleep, thank goodness) but I have no idea what!

Oh, I hope he feels better soon!

Alana told me for the first time today what was wrong with her. She wouldn't take her nap this morning and I brought her into my room and sat down on the bed with her and asked her what was wrong. She started crying again and I asked her if something hurt. She put her finger in her mouth and said "Teeth hurt." She's cutting both of her bottom eyeteeth so it's no wonder! :)

Wow Jamie! What an awesome feeling that must be. Must make life SOOOOOOO much easier!! I CAN'T WAIT until they can tell me what they want or need or what's wrong. It's still so frustrating to have to guess and try to figure out every little thing they want and yes it is nice to have that to look forward to. I just hope that times comes soon!!!

Morgan was getting so many ear infections that I thought I would never see the day. Thanks for giving us "hope!"
