I am so excited the twins just turned 4 months old and they have both been sleeping through the night without waking for 4 days now. They go to bed at 7:30 and wake up about 8:30 or 9am. No night feedings at all :)

Care to share your secret to getting them
there? Just curious, are they formula or breast fed?

They are on formula they drink 5.5-6 oz per feeding

I got them on a 3 hour schedule eat, play sleep. I feed them every 3 hours whether they are fussing for food or not. I have found that this helps them get enough food to make it through the night. I have also been consistent with having them sleep in their cribs at naps and night time. I find that if they are sleeping are in a different room then me they sleep better and I only hear them cry not ever little noise. If they wake before time to get them up I let them fuss for 5 minutes then I go in if they are still crying. Also a big key to get them sleeping in their cribs was that I started swaddling them. Now once I swaddle them they know it is time to sleep and they typically don't have any trouble going right to sleep. Before I started swaddling them they would startle themselves awake when they moved. I also use 3 noise makers. One under each crib and then a fan in the middle of the room between the cribs. They did not sleep through the night until I split them up in their own crib b/c they would wake each other. I think once they are rolling over(back to front) and I start letting them sleep unswaddled that they will sleep on their bellies.

Each week they last longer at night. at 3 months they were waking at 1am and 5am then they started only waking sometime between 3-4am then every night they slept a little longer until they were making it to 9am.

Something I have noticed is that each week I bumped their feeding up half an ounce and they slept longer. They are not up to 6oz per feeding and are doing great. At 3 months they were only drinking 4.5oz per feeding. They need to still get the same food when they are not having night feedings. I have also noticed that they eat more during the day if I don't feed them at all between their scheduled feedings.

If you are nursing go ahead and feed them on the same schedule.

our schedule looks something like this

    9am Bottle
    9:30 Play
    10:30 Nap(in crib or stroller)
    12 Bottle
    12:30 Play
    1:30 Nap
    3 Bottle
    4:30/5 cat nap in swing
    6 bottle
    6:30 bath
7 bottle to top them off fro the night they usually drink about 2 oz but sometimes they drink more
    7:30 bed for the night
