My little ones are finally in the newborn size. So the other day I was in Toys R Us. They had some great deals on their spring/summer clothes. So i went nuts because I knew they offered the twin discount. Well I get up to the check out. I spent $130 and asked them about the discount. I was informed they were not a babies r us so they did not offer that discount. I was soooooo disappointed! They are owned by the same company so why wouldn't they honor the same discounts?!!
Also, I went to Children's Place and asked for the twin discount that everyone talks about getting and they looked at me like I was crazy and laughed. I had to say no I am serious I have heard about thi discount. Well no luck there either.

Am I doing something wrong or how to you ladies get these discounts?

I just had that same issue at Toys R us!!! I had never heard of the CP offering the discount though. I'm sorry you had to go through all that as well!

The only discount I've ever gotten at Babies R Us is when we bought our crib mattresses - I thought the only discount they had was 10% off the 2nd identical item on items that are at least $90 or something like that. I never get twin discounts, only that one time!

The BRU twin discount is on two EXACT items over $50. I don't know of anywhere else that does a twin discount. If you get onto the Carters and Oshkosh email lists, you can get coupons for those. I think CP has email coupons too.

I heard of the Children's Place discount on here from a list of deals and freebies for multiples that I printed off.

The twins discount at BRU when mine were little was that you had to buy 2 of the same thing over $80 to get 20% off of them. So it was only on big ticket items. I have never heard of TCP giving a twins discount. :pardon: Sorry you were frustrated.

The BRU here doesn't have a twin discount.. which is craziness. Do you have a local twins/multiples association? I joined ours and got a list of discounted items, and they also lend out a lot of things and have second hand sales.. very handy!

That's what I was told at our BRU, too. When my babies were coming home from the NICU I had to go buy a bunch of preemie clothes for them and I asked for a discount. I was told that the twin discount is only if you buy 2 of the same item and it doesn't work for clothes. So if it's any consolation, you probably wouldn't have saved any money even if you had gone to BRU. :(
