Snugli Hell

So i thought how nice it would be to have a snugli so that i could have one baby in a swing or sleeping, and the other being held so that i could still have my hands free to do other things. We buy it, DH leaves to go do a tune up on the car, and i think " what a great time to see if this works ". <_< i pull it out of the box, it's got like 9 straps and hooks and no instructions, one baby is sleeping while the other is crying waiting on me. i get the thing on only to find out its upside down, and then i cant get out of it because its become like a straight jacket up around my neck and i cant get to the hook in the back to release it, so here i am flapping around in my kitchen like some poor bird caught in a net, and the cat choosing right then to demand i feed her. i finally wrestle with it long enough to get out of it and on correctly, and just as im so proud of myself for figuring it out, i go in to get Ian and he's chosen that moment to fall asleep. So now, having gone through all that, im not taking it off until one of them finally wakes up and uses it. They really should make these things simpler to use. Makes you wonder if the manufacturers ever had babies of thier own.

hahaha!! We had a snugli for about 30 seconds. I couldn't figure it out either and then once I did, I just didn't like it that much. I returned it and my hubby ended up buying a baby bjorn on craigslist that we like a little better.

I also returned my snugli!! I had a fight with mine, thank god my DH was there when I was trying it on...what a disaster!

 

we had Eddie Bauer carriers and I loved them! of course the kids hated them!

 

The boys and I love the Snugli. They demand to be in it in the front facing position for ppl watching. They have made my life so much easier. I guess I am in the minority in this opinion, but I think its been a lifesaver.

 

I found out too late that my snugli doesn't work for large breasted women <_< Needless to say I'm stuck with the dang thing now unless I try to sell it used!

I much prefer the hip carriers myself, easier to use and still hands free!

 

LOL Danibell, i found the same thing out.

 

I had a hard time with the snugli too. It was just too complicated to put on. I ended up returning it and getting the bjorns.
