We are already browsing for snow suits...mainly because we will be moving at the end of November and I know we will get busy and not have time. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I found these at the JCPenny web site http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=62438&CatID=64262&GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=16eb73b&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=external%7c62701%7c63016%7c64262&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=34&cmVirtualCat=&CmCatId=external|62701|63016|64262 there is a boy one too and they look pretty cute.

Also, what do you put them in while in their car seats? I dont want to use the thick winter coats because I think they will get too hot. I saw that JJ Cole makes a bundle me toddler that will fit convertible car seats...anyone used these? That is basically what we did last yr, used the bundle me lite's and put blankets on as well.

I ususally just put a blanket over them while they are in the car. According to safety standards for infant car seats, there is to be no material between the car seat and the baby such as heavy jackets or car seat covers or pads(except normal clothing) as the safety of the car seat is compromised.

We loved the fleece coveralls from LL Bean at that age. It doesn't get really snowy that often here (and my kids didn't enjoy playing in the snow until they were at least 2 anyway), so they needed warmth but not waterproofing. The fleece coveralls are cute, easy to get on, thin enough that you can use them in the car seats, and roomy enough that you can fit a sweater underneath. Plus, the hoods actually stay on. (Photo attached.)

Strangely, I can't find them on the LL Bean site (maybe they don't sell them anymore?), but you could probably find them or something similar on eBay.

I got these fleece jackets for them last year and I loved them! I'm definitely getting them agagin, if I can find them in toddler sizes. They're warm enough for errand running, and thin enough for carseats. I loved the elastic around the hoods, so they always stayed up without wind blowing in and the built-in mittins worked great too. I'll have to get something warmer, like a snowsuit for outside play too.

I also like how there's a snap under the chin to keep the cold and wind off the neck too.
