I know at that age for all 3 they hated shoes, unless outside and too busy to think about them. I only bought the cheapie walmart ones for $5.97 that had velcro(NO LACES). Velcro is harder to to undo for about 30 mins of practice. I used to have shoes flying over my head as I drove.

I loved the Robeez when my kids were little, but I don't know much about them for bigger kids.
I'm just pretty sure I'll be putting shoes on someone the rest of my life!!!

One thing to check is if they are fitted correctly. One way I always knew when it was time for new shoes was when they would kick them off. I am a huge fan of having kids sized professionally, especially early on. Last Halloween was the first time I bought my boys shoes from a place other than stride rite for their every day shoes, and they were almost 4 1/2.

Mine are 19 months and love their robeez and kept them on all the time when they were your girls age. They wear them around the house as slippers now so that their socks don't get dirty. They also love wearing shoes, if they see them they will point at them till I put the robeez or whatever shoe on that they will be wearing that day.

We love Robeez and Crocs! The Crocs can be kicked off but they are super simple to put on and for some reason they just love them so they usually leave them on. I think they are really cute on wee ones.

The higher-end shoes tend to be not flexible enough for their developing feet and they're uncomfortable. Look for something with a sole that bends easily and those are also likely to fit better while allowing better foot development.

I agree with having your kids sized professionally. I don't necessarily think that it's important to buy top of the line shoes as long as they are flexible and fit well.
