I read about everyone giving snacks. What do you give them?

Also I have read about people giving their LOs nutrigrain bars. I love nutrigrain bars and eat them all the time. I bought the apple ones for the girls but they have honey in them. What flavor do you give them??

    Thanks!!

Right now snacks for us is watered down fruit juice & Gerber puffs. I did give them a little snack of banana pudding the other day and also a taste of strawberry yogurt. I was not sure that we could give them more in terms of snacks...I'd be interested to see other people's replies.

Cheese is a great snack. I started giving nutrigrain bars at that age, cut up into squares, mine like the berry flavors (hate the apple ones!). Our main snacks were:
    puffs
    cheerios
    goldfish
    cheese
    grahm crackers
    other crackers
    banana

Mine still only get one snack a day, if that.

Cohlee-as for the honey-we asked the Dr...He said NO STICKY STUFF. Which means-not STRAIGHT honey. My kids have been having the nutrigrain bars-and love them!

    For snacks we have:
    cheerios
    puffs
    peaches
    bananas
    applesauce(LOVE LOVE LOVE this)-they split the pre-packaged Mott's
    yogurt(they split a yo baby)
    graham crackers
    animal crackers
    cereal bars
    goldfish

Mainly it''s applesauce, bananas, or peaches. They LOVE their fruit!

And some days all it is is 3 little goldfish and they are good to go! I have a friend who gave her daughter celery! She is 13 months old. I thought it was a choking hazard-but she loves it!

My girls had celery in their soup this weekend and loved it. I think celery is disgusting!

I never thought of goldfish! Great idea! I just bought them some of the gerber wheat animal crackers yesterday but the gerber stuff is so expensive.

I am not a fan of celery either-maybe if it's LOADED with peanut butter! My boys had celery too from soup-but this girl was having fresh celery! I can't stand the stringy-ness of it! LOL!

Yeah-gerber is expensive-I splurge on the puffs as they love those. And they do make whole grain goldfish, as well as baby goldfish. Pretty neat. My boys LOVE the gloldfish! They just need a bib on when they are eating them...

My girls eat puffs, cheese, yogurt melts, cheerios, goldfish, toast, cut up fruit - I think of a snack as anything I can scatter around the coffee table and they pull up on it and snack on it.

I give them shredded cheese and yogurt. Sometimes I'll do puffs but I'd rather give them cheese.

THAT was my next question! Do you all put them in their highchairs for snacks? I would feel like they'd be in their highchairs all day!
