I'm getting pretty good at meal planning for the week & making one big shopping trip on the weekend......works out great & definitely saves me money! But then I get home & realize I've bought nothing for snacks. I always get to the store & see crackers & chips, etc & then think "those aren't healthy" and get nothing! So I need some snack ideas. I always get fruit & some kind of cracker, but what else is there? I try not to do too much cheese b/c dd gets constipated easily.

What about pretzels, yogurt, raisins. My guys also love Pirates Booty and Unburied Treasure and the fruit breakfast bars from Trader Joe's. Also, those baked peas and things that are to put on salads. Oh and yogurt covered pretzels and also graham crackers are a favorite here too!

Mine love dried fruit, or freeze-dried fruit...Gerber makes the freeze-dried with no sugar added, just fruit, and I recently bought Sun-Maid, tropical mix dried fruit, again fruit is the ONLY ingredient. We also eat any kind of cracker, peanut butter or cheese filled crackers, cookies (but they're the organic with whole wheat and cane syrup, so I don't think they're too horrible for them), raisins. I give them their snacks "on the run" so I won't give them fresh fruit because it's too messy. String cheese works OK though, as will any kind of dried cereal. Oh, pita chips are tasty and better for you than potato chips, they like those too.

    Garbanzo beans, black beans
    Any dried cereal
    raisins, bananas, pear slices
cubes of toasted bread w/ cream cheese
    Veggie Booty
    Dried cranberries, raisins
    Cooked penne pasta

oops, kiddos calling, I'll try to come back with more ideas

We eat a lot of Nutrigrain bars and other types of granola bars. (Not the kind that are vitamin-enhanced.)
Dried fruit -- raisins, cranberries, apricots -- they're especially into dried mango from Costco
I bake bran muffins and quick breads and freeze them in single servings
    Cheerios (with or without milk)
Occasionally cookies or chocolate! (especially if they wake up cranky from nap)

I tend to be sort of carb-heavy at snacks because that's what seems like a "snack" to me. But also, they eat lots of dairy and fruit at mealtimes. (And veggies are a lost cause anyway.)

Cereal, all different kinds. They especially like mine (Barbara's shredded oats)
Raisins, Craisins, dried pineapple, cherries, papaya
    Pretzels
Cereal bars (organic so no HFCS or trans fat)
    Yotta bars
    Crackers of all sorts
    Pirate's Booty

I bake muffins and put them in the freezer. I pop one in the microwave for a healthy and tasty snack. My boys usually split a muffin and have some cut-up fruit or a smoothie for their afternoon snack.

I buy the 25 cent packs of muffins that make like 18 mini muffins and we eat those like crazy - it also helps keep them regular!

I buy a lot of the items mentioned above especially raisins, other dried fruits, and various crackers because I feel they are healthier choices than cookies and other snacks.

We just went to our first dentist appointment and I am not sure if the majority of pediatric dentists recommend this, but their suggestion was to stay away from "sticky snacks" like raisins, dried fruits and crackers (ones high in sugars: Graham?), fruit rolls, cookies (like Oreos) as they tend to stick on teeth for long periods of time which can potentially cause tooth decay. They said, "Try the Oreo cookie test and see how long it stays in their teeth which is what crackers can do."

Their suggested list had popcorn, nuts and cheese which are more appropriate for older toddlers such as ours. Guess like most things you have to take things in moderation. :D

Cheese makes a great snack because it doesn't contribute to tooth decay like sticky snacks or other carbohydrate based snacks do.

There are a lot of great ideas here! Thanks ladies!
We do goldfish, cheese sticks, Trader Joe's whole wheat mini bagels, milk usually leftover from their meal, dry cereal, tofu cubes and whatever else I can dig out of the pantry or fridge for the hungry monkeys!
