ANy frozen fruit and milk. Blend to milkshake thickness. Should work in sippy cups. I also use bananas and the canned fruit without sugar.

    Peach is good
    Blueberry
    Strawbery
    Strawberry and bananas

Watch the frozen raspberries though-lots and lots of little seeds.

If you do the Schwan man at all they have a Sunshine or Golden Blend of frozen fruit with all sorts of fruits in it that makes a great smoothie.

Lois, I have recently started a diet, and I am trying to add in a lot more fruits, and honestly, they are not my favorite to eat! So, I have started making fruit smoothies! I have one everyday, and the babies are loving them too!

The ones I have made are all fruit, but you could also add in yogurt or milk. I have used all of the following fruits in random combinations and amounts, and they all taste really good!

    mango
    banana
    applesauce
    raspberries
    blueberries
    pineapple
    blackberries
    cantelope
    strawberries

I use a combination of fresh and frozen fruit. The frozen fruit makes it so you don't have to add much(if any) ice. The babies drink it through straw sippies. It's a great way to get those fruit servings in!

I make them with yogurt and frozen strawberries/raspberries. My twins like it thick so it can be eaten with a spoon. MMMMMM!!

My two will drink from a straw. We don't make smoothies here, but they do drink the yogurt drinks. Try seeing if they will drink from a straw.

We also do smoothies. We make mostly yogurt- (or for a treat frozen yogurt-) based smoothies with milk, fresh/frozen fruit, and ice.

I've also had luck with putting regular yogurt in the freezer (very easy to do with the go-gurt style yogurt tubes) then thawing them on the counter for 10 minutes before blending...makes a perfect smoothie with a banana.

We use the regular take n toss straw sippies you can buy in a 4pk from Target/WalMart. They work great. I don't think a regular sippie would work well b/c of the thicker consistency. If your kids aren't straw experts yet, try this tip:

    1. Sip through the straw and show them how the milk/drink comes up through the straw.
    2. Suck on their finger to 'show' them how you do the sucking.
    3. Put the straw in their mouth and press their bottom lip up to the straw until they get the hang of it.

thanks for all your advice. i did a blueberry smoothie today. i just put some blueberries and milk and a couple of ice cubes in the blender. i think i kept thinking it was going to be thicker. it was really frothy...and went in the sippy cups, no problem...the kids seemed to love it! well, after my dd got over her little freak out session because of the blender noise :(

    thanks again, Lois

We do fruit smoothies as other mentioned as well as PB & Banana Smoothies. I think they're gross but the boys love them:

    1 banana
    1 big scoop of PB
    a squirt of chocolate syrup
    milk to get desired thickness

I just made a really good one this morning. It was banana, frozen mango, peaches(canned in 100% juice), and some ice. YUM!
