I swear my DS smiled at me yesterday morning while he was drinking his bottle. I thought "nah" but after I kept talking to him he did it 5 times. Then he did it again today, like twice...after I was talking to him. Isn't it too young? They are 8 weeks tomorrow.

Mine were smiling real smiles at 4-5 weeks corrected age! It's definitely not too young. Trust your gut - those are real smiles, just for you! :D

That sounds just about right for my two. They both smiled on the same day. How fun. Enjoy them

We were late smilers at 2.5 months. Sounds just about right to me. You will know when it is the real deal....sounds like it is! Don't doubt it!

Our first smiles came at 6 weeks. We now have , what my dd calls, "watermelon smiles". They are so big you can fit a piece of watermelon in their mouth.lol. The best thing is going in their room in the morning and getting greeted my 2 huge smiles.

I remember with my first son he smiled when he was 16 days old. I remember it so clearly, and exactly how old he was because I could not believe it! With these twinkies I noticed real smiles around 4 weeks. It is the best feeling in the world!

Oh how fun for you!!! My twins started smiling at 6 weeks. Yes, the real social smile, it's almost like they're cracking themselves up over seeing your face.

I keep trying to get a good picture of their smiles but the photos just don't do any justice!

    Enjoy!!!

Mine started this week, they have been doing it in their sleep for weeks but I dont' think those count but they are just as adorable. PP is right, it takes alot of work to get one out of them but when they do, it is the cutest thing in the world. I read somewhere to smile at them because they like to watch mommy and will learn to imitate you! Have fun!

Awww, the first smiles are so so sweet! My first DD started smiling social smiles at 3 weeks, but everyone commented on what an alert baby she was from the day she was born...so I think it was a bit unusual. These girls started smiling a couple days before 5 weeks.

    Enjoy your little munchkins!
