Smelly Urine

I was wondering what it may mean if one of the twins urine smells awful. He definitely smells the worst after his long night sleep. It's almost as bad as a dirty diaper smell but not quite. He doesn't seem upset or sick. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this.

I have used the same brand of diapers Walmart Parent's Choice for the last 5 kids.
He is on formula now. I also added oatmeal and Cheerios to his diet.

 

I'm not sure. I would try calling the ped when the office is open again (assuming it's not open today).

 

I really dont know. I would call the Ped. Maybe he has a urinary tract infection??

 

Hmmm...I second calling the pediatrician.

Is the urine dark? Could he be getting dehydrated overnight?

I know with the heat on in our house, the kids seem to be more thirsty.

 

My DD had the same thing. Very potent smelling and it turned out she had a UTI. I'd call the doctor.

 

could be a uti? may want to try a little water for him, give it to him before bed ,
does he seem uncomfortable or wanting to sleep all the time?
my little guys had a uti with no sighns other than the smell, i ignored it and than he turned a yellow/orange color
i brought him in and he had a uti

 

Thanks I'll definitely be checking in with the Dr. I'm thinking probably a UTI now that a few of you mentioned it.
