My DD has a smelly heinie, chronically. My DH and I have been complaining every night when we put her in her pjs that her bottom smells like "butt", in a significantly stinky way, as my DH says. She wears panties during the day and diapers at night, has had no complaints of itching or pain in the lower regions, her urine smells normal (yikes, yes I know how that smells), and we keep her pretty clean (as clean as any other toddler). Anyone who might know why else she's so stinky? She doesn't have a ton of gas, either, at least, no more than her sister, who is not smelly.

No idea, maybe try the Cottonelle wet wipes to wipe her with when she is on the potty??

Yeah, I guess try the flushable wipes for when she poops. Does she wipe herself, or do you do it? Not to be all TMI, but sometimes I take Bea to the changing table and have her lie down like I'm changing a diaper to make sure she is wiped thoroughly.

Sorry, but this thread title made me LOL for real!

My kids both have stinky butts. I've talked to some other moms too, and they say the same thing. There is something about toddlers, and especially (ironically) when they get PT'd, that just makes their butts smell.

Mine often go potty (pee and poop) totally independently, so I don't get a chance to see how well they wiped. But I wipe their bottoms morning and night with a wipe with some Cetaphil cleanser on it. That definitely seems to help -- I can tell the difference if I forget for a day or two.
