I was wondering what I could do to get the boys laundry to smell better. They have reflux and spit up on everything they wear. They have a little laundry basket in their room and when I go in at night after their door has been closed a while the whole room smells like burp.

I've tried Tide with Febreeze, fabric softener, dryer sheets, etc. I don't know what else to do. I will wash their clothes and they still smell like spit up.

What do yall do to keep their clothes from smelling funky.

I have always used Dreft and their clothes don't smell after a wash. I also pretreat with Dreft stain spray on spitup. It works wonders. I take their very saturated clothes and put them in the basement right away (where the laundry is).

Someone on here had posted about using vinegar with smelly kitchen towels, it works miracles with ours!! I will also throw some in with the baby clothers, and they always come out fresh smelling. I put about a cup in with a large load

I have never had that problem...use Dreft or All Baby Laundry Detergent.

I have always used either dreft or Baby All and the baby all seems to do the trick. my friend reccomended for those nasty stains and smells to use something called Totally Toddler Stain remover. It not only works on food stains and formula on clothes but you can use it on furniture and carpet and stuff as well. They also make dryer sheets for them too....i found it at BRU in the laundry sections. Here's a website for it totally toddler. good luck and i hope you find something that works

I have had really good luck with Tide with Bleach (the new formula in the large container) and some Bounce in the dryer. Makes all my pukey boy clothes smell brand new!

I use Dreft with the girls and their clothes smell just fine. There have been a few times some of their stuff got mixed in with ours and I used Gain on it and they came out with the pukey smell still.

Baking soda does the trick around here if the laundry doesn't smell as fresh as it should.

After a little research, regular white vinegar can help remove the odor. It also works if you forgot to put the clothes in the laundry add about a 1/4 cup of the vinegar to the rinse cycle and it refreshes the clothing.
