Marcus informed me this morning that that is what one of the girls in his class is calling him. He feels that it is a good thing because it shows that he is smart!

I am so proud of him, because he is finally realizing that he IS smart, and can do things that he used to say "ask my brother, he knows" instead of answering.

I am also happy that my boy sees being smart and getting good grades a positive thing :) Which he figured out all by himself :)

That's great Sharon! If I tell the girls they are smart or pretty or whatever, they always answer "I know". No lack of self confidence there!

That's wonderful! Can he come give some advice to Sarah? She's smart but will focus on the one little thing she didn't get right and ignore everything else she got right.

Marissa, I think the biggest help was being in a different class from his brother--the constant comparison isn't there. This week he moved up to the same level in Accelerated Reader that Jonathan is in, and that has been a huge boost for him!

    Sarah will get there :)

We will get there. For the first time in art class they ended up at separate tables for part of it. And they both figured out that not only were they separate, but they had fun, and it was ok. And the reason they were separate was because for the first time ever, Sarah told a non-family member that she had to go the bathroom and was going the bathroom while they switched tables. She was very proud of that.
