Smart photo frame or Google Hub for parents?

My parents are now grandparents and i'm constantly sending photos to my mum who will print them, set as her wallpaper etc etc.

We have a shared google photos album and i've seen that some smart photo frames can link to an album, so I could keep her photo frame updated remotely so to speak!

    However they're kind of expensive.

Q: Does anyone with a nest hub use it to display photos from google? How well does it work?

I see it's been a while since you’ve posted, but I just wanted to ask—has anyone tried the Skylight Frame recently? I've heard it's super easy for non-tech-savvy parents to use, since you just email photos to it. I’m thinking about this for mine and wondering how it compares to the Google Hub now, especially after some software updates. Anyone have experience with both lately?

I went with https://www.nixplay.com/ for my folks last year and it’s been brilliant. The app is simple enough that I can send new photos from my phone, and they just show up in the frame without them needing to do anything. The screen’s decent quality, and I haven’t had to mess with it since setting it up. They love seeing updated pics of the grandkids pop up automatically.
